Shih Tzu is the sweetest dog I have ever known. Have had alot of dogs in my life but none as sweet as the Shih Tzu I have now.

any dog can easily be sweet if it is brought up in the right kind of loving and caring environment. However I have often heard that dogs rescued are by far the sweetest because you have given them a second chance for a far better life. But as I said, as long as you love the dog, care for it properly, socialize it right, etc. the dog will grow up to be very sweet. So, I don't think there is one specific breed of dog that can be called "sweetest" because i'm sure there are many sweet dogs of each breed. (once again, if they are brought up right)

My Saint Bernard is by far the sweetest dog I have owned or met. We rescued her when she was just 10 weeks old. She was found in a plastic bag with 8 siblings in the middle of a field outside a puppy mill when the pups were barely 2 weeks old. Only two survivors, so sad. I am convinced she knows we saved her and is forever grateful.

She is such a love and is very intuitive of feelings and emotions of every one she meets. She greets everything (people, other animals, objects, toys) with a smile and wags her tail so hard it has knocked many objects off my tables!!!

She follows my nephews around everywhere as if she is babysitting. She watches their every move and tries to nudge my 12 month-old nephew when he looses his balance!!

She is a true Gentle Giant. Never would hurt anything, not even a fly!! She constantly walks around with a big smile on her face (always!!) Oh, and a little drool :)

I love her so much!!!!

Any dog can be the sweetest dog, you just need to treat it right. Every dog I have ever had was very sweet. I currently have a Miniature Schnauzer. He is very sweet and smart!

All dogs will be sweet if you treat them right! Research more before getting a puppy.

If you aren't asking this because you want a puppy, then I will go ahead and brag- My mini Aussie is soo sweet! He loves everyone! He will bark two or three times when someone is in the yard or at the door, but once he sees them he is just a doll!

the sweetest that you can get is a whippet,i bought one 5months ago and he is beautiful.when i take him for a walk he nuzzles into my leg and and follows my lead. they have a great temperment and i would recomend them to anyone.they have a very gentle nature and are so smart. but they need lots of exercise and are very very fast.so they also keep you very fit.they are a beautiful looking dog and are great with kids and where they have smooth hair not a lot gets on the furniture.............!!my dog now gives me hugs...

i think my dog tiny is. she is a mix between a basset and a schnauzer. she just turned a year old and we have both her parents(fixed now). she is incredibly sweet and whenever i am sad she is the first one to come and wag her tail and give me a kiss. whenever i am sick she stays with me and rests her head on my chest. one night i was really sick and she alerted my mom to come an check on me. this dog is so sensitive and knows to be really gentle with me. she doesnt jump on me and waits on the sofa for me to pet her when i get home. all around tiny is amazingly sweet and my baby.
