Only use a pain releiver advised by your vet and in the proper dosage your vet prescribes. Do NOT use ANY OTC human pain meds, including asprin without vet approval!!!
NEVER EVER, EVER give Tylenol, Advil, Aleve or any meds like them not even in the infant/child versions..they are very toxic to dogs !!!!!!!!!!!!

YES IT Will Probably KILL YOUR DOG if you give it tylenol Do NOT NOT NOT give your dog tylenol or any other nonvet meds. Some foods that humans take can kill a dog such as grapes, chocolate, macadamia nuts, onions, garlic, etc. Also, there is talk about taking tylenol off the shelves because it is so dangerous. You can look on the web for phone numbers of vets in your area, and most have a number for emergencies.

As the others mentioned you should always consult the vet. However, my miniature dachshund is beginning to go through her season. I use a small fraction of the amount given to infants. We use infant Tylenol in small dosages, it really seems to give her some comfort during this time. Be your own judge, but sometimes the vet doesn't want to be bothered on the weekend. Hope your dog feels better soon.

The only human pain reliever that is safe to use on dogs is aspirin, which a) is a weight based dose, so I couldn't tell you how much to give, and b) a 'blood thinner', so should not be given for a cut.
If it is a small cut, and not actively bleeding, just clean the area and leave it be.

Call your vet. No over the counter meds should be give for a cut. Asprin thins the blood and can cause it to bleed more. If it needs medical attention than your vet is the only person to give it.

Don't give him anything for pain. For one thing, it's a small cut, For another thing it's dangerous.. Dogs tolerate pain far better than people do.. They don't need a pain reliever for a little cut.

My vet had me give my dog BABY aspirin (81 mg). Call the vet first though to make sure how much you can give them and to make sure it's okay for your dog. My dogs are bigger so they told me it was okay to give them one but if you have a smaller dog, that may be too much for them. Just call the vet for the dose.

NEVER give meds unless you talk to your vet first.
