Im just curious. A friend of mine claimed he saw my two guardian angels and they were both hooded.

I think they wear whatever the situation requires. *if* your friend was telling the truth, then perhaps they needed to not be recognized, perhaps they've had to appear in corporeal form to help you before.

As I understand it (from teaching I've had from reputable teachers), angels are normally in spirit form, so can't be seen by the natural senses when the natural senses are functioning in their normal physical way, sensing light waves. Some people can at times discern angels and spirits, this is some mode of the gift of "discerning spirits". At times they can see some kind of overlay on top of what is normally visible. There are probably other ways of perceiving them. Some other people may be able to see these kind of things because of some kind of spiritual sensitivity.
Angels can manifest in human form, which means that they may be attired in whatever kind of clothing is appropriate. They might be black, white, oriental or whatever in racial appearance when they are in human appearance.
Fallen angels can look as beautiful as the holy ones according to the Bible.

Darlin', they've been known to wear letter jackets proudly proclaiming PROVIDENCE on the back! So hoods (were they hoods on hoodies, cowls attached to habits, or what, according to your friend?) could be symbolic or meaningless. They certainly aren't traditional.
And does s/he have any explanation why you've been assigned two? The traditional number is one per sinner, altho that's certainly not anybody's official doctrine that I know of!

They may have shielded themselves from your friend, but guardian angels really would have no reason to hood themselves or to hide from you unless they felt you were not ready to know them. Most angels I have seen have not been hooded.

how did your friend know they were GAs? especially with hoods on. was there a bright light coming from under the hood?

And why are you so special to have 2 gaurdian spirits?
P.S. your question reminds me of that thing, where the girl is walking down the alley, and this raper sees her but doesn't do anything, and the next day her friend was raped by that guy(or soemhting) and she asked him why he didn't attack her, and he said it was because she was walking with 2 guys.
But she said she wasn't but they guy was like...yeah you were....and they were her gaurdian angels.
