If you look at newspapers and other media you will see they use this term as often as possible. The President will use these terms countless times in speeches. You have to keep the imaginary enemy fresh in the minds of the lemmings.
Terror , War on Terror, Terrorist. Its called brainwashing the lemmings and Rush Limbots.
You bet its about oil. Anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see that.
The oil will not be in the control of the Iraqies by the time we leave. People need to read the oil law they are forcing down the throats of the Iraqies. Wonder why they won't pass it?

Its just you....
Please dont talk about wars for oil when you clearly don't know what you are talking about.
Do you really think that all oil is used for is to make petrol for cars? Dont you realise that everything you are wearing, using (like the computer), eating and drinking is totally dependant on oil for its manufacture and distribution?
The global oil economy has NOTHING to do with cars!!
Secondly Iraq is producing less oil today than it was before the invasion and its still being exported by the same people to the same countries. It will eventually produce a lot more oil and the revenues for that will go exactly where they do now and always have done, multinational (not american) oil companies and a corrupt Iraqi goverenment.
Thirdly the U.S has enough strategic oil reserve on its own territory to last for 70 years at current consumption if the entire world supply switched off tommorow. The rest of us would not be so lucky.
Fourthly the U.S gets over 70% of its oil from Canada and I havent noticed them invading there or Venezuala which is the second biggest exporter into the U.S
We know it wasnt about WMD or Terrorism but whilst people like you keep throwing this fascile nonsense about oil around we will never have the proper debate and get the truth.
Stop reading posters and get out into the world, travel, experience it, workl in a few of these industries and you will find that your knowldege starts to outstrip the soundbites.

The war started because the Bush and Blair thought that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction which they were hiding. It has been proved since that there was no real evidence of this and that it was just hyped up as an excuse. Also there was no proof at the time that Iraq had any connection to the World Trade Centre attack. The real reason?...
Bush junior wanted to finish what his daddy had started.
I am sure that oil was a major factor. Other countries have been proved to have WMD. They have no oil and have not been attacked.
The attack on Iraq was short sighted, and for those who keep going on about the world trade centre (tragic as it was), the death toll in Iraq (on all sides) makes the number of deaths in the WTC look like a drop in the ocean..... Innocent Iraq civilians (many of them children), members of the armed forces (some of them didn't even agree with the war), and the thousands killed in the civil war which was created by the invasion.
The whole thing has been a complete disaster. There is now no easy way forward. To stay is to stir up more hatred, but to pull out now is to leave Iraq in complete chaos, and a civil war which will spiral out of control.
The 2 million who marched in London before the war could see what was going to happen. Why couldn't Blair and Bush?

The war in Iraq is due that wanker the Americans call a president. He is a money hungry power obsessive asshole. The only reason y Britain took part was to lick up Americas ****!
They went to harvest the oil and guess what..oil prices rose. They went to 'stop' terrorism and now terrorism is worse than before. It doesnt matter that America has killed more people than the Nazi's all in favour of a 'good' cause

One thing you said, I agree with, this whole damned war, in Iraq, is mostly about oil and Israel.
Without our dependence on oil we would have no need to be proping up a government and a people, that was probably better off with a dictator who knew how to keep a balance of power, in the region. Granted he was a murderer, but so was Idi Amin, Joe Stalin, Moa tse tung, Pol Pot, etc., etc.
The problem is now beyond oil and our commitment to Israel. It is now , and probably has been, about Islam and it's jihad. These are no longer regional camel jockey's we're dealing with. These are mass murderers who will attempt to destroy us and our way of life. We can not and will not pick up our ball and go home. We are now committed to destroy or be destroyed, no matter what these wannabes who are running for office will tell you.
If you wish to buy into their dribble, go ahead ! For my part, I will vote for the guy who best resembles a pit bull !

no your cover stories are the ones about paris going to jail....ms lohan passed out drunk...the winner of the hot dog contest. who gives a sh!@. after saddam was taken out, we had to occupy so a new leadership could be formed. you have to realize that there are 3 major groups in iraq sunni, shiite, and kurds and they don't really like nor trust each other. my question to you is who do you put in power? you help one the others say you're favoring em. the terrorists were able to use this against the coalition forces. they also tell all the iraqis that we will rape their women and put them in pornos. we will take their babies and drink their blood. i heard this one today -" i thought you were going to have dogs rape me." that was from an iraq male. yes, i am in iraq. every iraqi i meet had been told some crazy stories about what american soldier were going to do to them. they bought it and started to fight. if this was about the oil all we would have had to do was place all of our forces around the wells and not worry about this country nor its people.

The "War on Terror" is a lot more than just a pretext for wars to control oil/energy.
- Its also a war for your mind. Divide and conquer the multitudes in order to control them. The "war on terror" is totally fabricated by elements with a hidden agenda in the government and media and there is no real enemy. But its got everyone suspecting each other and hating each other, and crying to the government to protect them and give them more security, in exchange for liberty. The enemy image is daily fed to the people on the TV, news papers and the radio and is portrayed as "anyone could be a terrorist".
You just need to look at the news headlines - we are now even being encouraged to "snitch" on people we suspect as being the "enemy".
To quote your new, un-elected by the public, Prime Minister's toy-boy Alan West:
"Britishness does not normally involve snitching or talking about someone. I'm afraid, in this situation, anyone who's got any information should say something because the people we are talking about are trying to destroy our entire way of life."
Open your eyes people, its the government which is trying to destroy your way of life by feeding you all this fear and making all kinds of laws to prevent you from being able to move, act or even think for yourself.

So many ignorant people out there it's scary, and you're one of them. You think oil is only used in motor vehicles? Wow, now that's naive. Oil is second only to water in importance on this planet. And as al qaeda and the taliban's 'raison d'etre' is world dominance for Muslims (something many Muslims are beginning to realise and say themselves), fighting and destroying them in their own back yard is far preferable to fighting them in our own. It's about time some of you grew up and smelled the roses and realised that there are some pretty nasty thorns on them.

I suppose the twin towers were a figment of our imagination.
I suppose you never drive or ride in a motor vehicle.
I suppose you'd like to live in a third world economy. Everything is inter-related. Take out oil and motor vehicles, and our economy is leveraged into a depression that would terrify your great-grandparents. And they saw the real thing....
That said, I'm not a huge fan of internal combustion and put more miles on my bicycle than my car, but I understand the economics, and I understand that most of the rest of the world will run roughshod over us at the first sign of weakness. Its easy to make nice and think altruistic thoughts when you've never had to worry where your next meal is coming from. Stay hungry, stay watchful.
