Let me start by saying when God set Adam in the Garden of Eden, He appointed him over all of creation. He gave him one stipulation - not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and of evil, for "in the day you eat of it you shall surely die."
Adam, following Eve his wife did eat and he did die that very day - not physically, but spiritually.
He through sin became estranged from the Life of God, the uncreated Life that transcends all creation, and without which every creature tends towards curruption and self destruction. Also, in disobeying God, Adam betrayed his divinely given authority into the hand of Satan, who began exercising dominion over Adam and all his descendants. As a result of Adam's fall, the corrupt nature of a rebel passed down onto all of Adam's descendants, leaving then with an inborn tendency toward sin and rebellion. (This is dealt with in some detail in Romans chapter 5). So every descendant of Adam finds himself with this natural inclination towards sin (this is what is referred to as original sin - not an act, but a nature).
The result is all men evetually come under the power of sin, and in sinning become subject to the Law of Sin and Death. (Sin separates us from God). What was needed to redeem mankind was one of his own kind to wrest back the moral initiative and overcome sin and Satan, earning us the right to be restored to the original position God had intended for Adam and all his race. This God accomplished by sending His Son from heaven, who became a bona fide member of the race of Adam, being born of a woman, yet free from the inheritance of a corrupt nature passed down through Adam, because Jesus' Father was not Adam, but God.
As a result He was able to live a perfect sinless life, fulfilling all righteousenss, and He became the rightful heir to all the blessings of God by earning them. This He did by a life of perfect submission and obedience to God His Father.
Jesus is referred to in I Corinthians 15:45 as "the last Adam". That is, He is not last in terms of chronology, but in the purposes of God He was constituted the representative of the whole race of Adam - all humans ever born or to be born, and by God's appointment He died on the cross as the representative of all humans. When He died, God the Father place upon Him the corporate guilt of the whole human race, and punished Him instead of Mankind. This He was able to bear because He was Divine, the Son of God, and because He was an eternal Spirit (no beginning and no end), He was able to suffer infinitely and bear the sins of all mankind. Thus when He died He proclaimed "It is finished." What He meant was the entire sin debt of the human race was paid for by Jesus Christ, so men could now receive the gift of righteousness - right standing with God through faith. Beyond this, Jesus actually became sin for us - that is, He took upon Himself the nature of sin, the old nature of Adam which inclines men to sin, and He put it to death on the cross. (This is why He represents Himself as the serpent on a pole in John 3:14.) Yet there is more. He also abolished the entire Law as a means of righteousness - being made right with God, by putting it out of the way on the cross. He did this by 1) fulfilling all the requirements and thus earning the blessing for obedience 2) Satisfying all the demands for punishment by bearing the punishment upon Himself. 3) Fulfilling all the ceremonial and ritual symbolism which the law foreshadowed. He also defeated Satan by removing the leverage of guilt which Satan used to accuse men before God, demanding justice by their being punished for their sin and rebellion.
When Jesus was raised from the dead by the power of God, according to the Bible, not only was He raised into a new life and union with the Father, but all who put their faith in Him are reckoned as being raised up together with Him by faith in the operation of the power of God. Just as Jesus was raised into newness of life, so also all who put their faith in Him receive the right to become children of God, because every barrier to this was dealt with on the cross - past sins, future sins, the sin nature, the Law which constitutes men lawbreakers - all of this God dealt with on the cross.
I recommend you begin a personal study of the Book of Romans to see how Paul unfolds these truths.
Also, if you are a serious student of the Word, I highly recommend the work of an eminent saint and scholar, Derek Prince. His work can be heard free online, or for a more in depth treatment I recommend his tape/CD series on Romans or his series The Fulness of the Cross.
I must add that all of this has no beneficial effect on the individual unless they repent of their sins and ask God to forgive them for Christ's sake, and by faith they become children of God, being born again by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus said: "You must be born again."
Only then can theses truths begin to become living experiences in the believer.

Eashoa was the only man ever born without sin.
His perfectly preserved cell which was quickened in Mary's womb by the Holy Spirit of God, was within Mary's line through woman all the way to Eve.
Eve was made directly from Adam's rib so his genetics were perfectly preserved through all those generations.
The savior could not have any sin whatsoever in order to satisfy the requirement of blood. There was never any sin found in The LORD.
It's all in the OT, check it out there.

when He died, he went to hell and took back the keys of life and he also took every sin on His back, its more figurative, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't necessary
Jesus' death was special b/c he was God's only Son, and just a Joe ont he street cant take all the sins of the world. I dont think that anyone would have ever been strong enough to go through what he did and to not sin a day in His life

(1) the sin we all share is from Adam & Eve in the garden when they ate the forbidden fruit , causing sin to pass down from man to man.
(2) He was/is the son of the all mighty god in heaven that came down, of his own free will, to walk learn of all the torments & sins that this world holds for man - For it was said that god the father could not be tempted!
(3) The old ways were to sacrifice animals for the persons sins but these were temp. solutions till Jesus Christ came along he was/is considered the perfect lamb, pure without sin, that we may call upon his name and be saved.
(4) all these other people were criminals given their just rewards for the crimes that they had commited but Jesus Christ did nothing wrong!
(5) That is a nice thought but the fear and pain would usually make a coward out of the best of us - did you know that when Jesus prayed the night before they took him that he was in so much stress that the very sweat during his prayers were mingled with blood , check into it there is some interesting things to learn!
Hope this was of some help. AMEN!

Adam and Eve passed the debt of imperfection on to their offspring. Yet, could something be offered in exchange for the life that Adam forfeited? God’s standard of justice demands balance, “soul for soul.”In the Hebrew language, the word “ransom” signifies the sum paid to redeem a captive and also denotes equivalency. Only a man with perfect human life could offer up the equivalent of what Adam lost. After Adam, the only perfect man born on earth was Jesus Christ. Hence, the Bible calls Jesus “the last Adam” and assures us that Christ “gave himself a corresponding ransom for all.” (1 Corinthians 15:45; 1 Timothy 2:5, 6) Whereas Adam passed death on to his children, Jesus’ legacy is life eternal. First Corinthians 15:22 explains: “Just as in Adam all are dying, so also in the Christ all will be made alive.” Appropriately, then, Jesus is called “Eternal Father.”—Isaiah 9:6, 7.Consider three ways in which Christ’s ransom sacrifice benefits you even now. First, it brings forgiveness of sins. Through faith in the shed blood of Jesus, we have “the release by ransom,” yes, “the forgiveness of our trespasses.” God forgives us, granting us the blessing of a good conscience, instead of exacting the penalty of death that we incur by sinning. As long as we exercise faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ and live in harmony with divine requirements, we will be clean in God’s sight and will have the hope of everlasting life. John 3:36, He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; he that disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.

Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is death.
We were born into a race polluted by sin. It's in our nature. We couldn't get rid of it. Jesus was God, and was therefore perfect. He became human, lived a human life with human thoughts and desires and was perfect. And he died. This broke the hold sin had over us. Now we can choose to either accept his gift or reject it.

John 3:16 (New Living Translation)
16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Jesus had to redeem us, buy us back from Satan. Jesus had no sin, he was the sacrificial lamb. When Adam fell, the human race became the property of Satan. Satan had the authority and right to kill us if he wanted to which he does.
Jesus was born with no sin and was not the property of Satan, when he killed Jesus he broke God's law. Satan killing us is like killing a fish for a dinner, its legal , but when he killed Jesus it was murder.
God cannot break his word. He gave authority and dominion to Adam, and Adam gave it to Satan. God could not just take it back, that would not be just (justice), that would be stealing. He had to find away to save mankind.
First Jesus had to die spiritually in the Garden of Gethsamne, when he drank the cup of sin, and became sin, then he died physically at Calvary.

Being a Christian you know that there is the Trinity, Father,Son and Holy Spirit. Hard for us to understand, but try to thing of it as three leaves belonging to and part of one plant. As with all religions a lot of the message must be taken on faith ( as a child) God sent his son to die for us to save us from the result of our sinful human nature. No one else but the son of God was worthy to do this. The ones who are saved are those who believe that Jesus died for us and for our sins. What made Jesus's death so special was that he wasthe son of God.I don't know about your last question. the fact that it would be impossible makes it easy not to answer. quite honestly I don't really think I am brave enough to do something that heroic.

When they say he saved us from death it still doesn't make sense because we still die right?
Well, here's the thing---We deserve the punishment of death because we sin and even if we do not actively sin--sin is still within us --all the nasty little seeds that want to make us sin and grow stronger with every sin we do. God is a just God and he is loving. He sees our suffering and he sees us blindly stumbling along and not even knowing what the heck we are doin half the time so he has compassion for us as he sees us dieing and we know at that time we are doomed. The cries went out to him over the centuries. His son Jesus knows the Father loves us as well as Jesus himself because they are one and the same being so Jesus wants to please his Father and the Father wants to save us so....many years ago he institutes the Sacrament of marriage and he says during this Sacrament the two will actually become one in flesh. Enter Jesus through his Mother The Blessed Virgin Mary... and he arrainges a marriage with us (his Church). His portion of the betrothal ceremony is complete during his baptism with John and ours is complete in our baptism. We deserve death and he marries us so the two become one flesh so now he gets the death sentence too but, he is perfect so he can go through death and rise from it unscathed and because we are married to him and are one flesh with him we can go through death with him too. The thing is he said unless you eat of my flesh and drink of my blood, you have no life within you and so at the wedding banquet which is what went on at the Last Supper, he provides this food. Catholics of which I am one, eat this real food. Other Christian denominations that look at this Sacrament of Communion as symbolic will eat this food eventually in Heaven but, Catholics eat this now so we go right to Heaven and others sleep (death) untill the end --then they will go to Heaven. This is why we must have his body and blood now for life. If you are baptised and have faith in Jesus you can go later but this is why I am a Catholic....I want to go right away...I do not want to die, I want to be changed in an instant like Scripture says. This then is the rapture that many misinformed talk about.

In the days before Jesus men use to take animals to the priest to be sent up as a burnt offering to God. So when Jesus came to earth he became the ultimate offering to God for our sins. He was taking away the burnt offerings and was giving himself so we would have eternal security just by believing in him. Jesus dying was a gift to us and the only way his dying ever will save us if we accept his gift.

Hello! I have not finished yet reading the Bible, so my answer may not be very detailed. However, I personally believe that good people go to heaven, no matter when they day. By good people, I mean those who do not harm the others, those who are kind and caring and those who help the others and stay away from sins. If you go ahead and make life living hell for the people around you and you repent on your death bed, well, you are going to hell!
