If you read your bible, or any other book, you'll see gods never do anything themselves that humans could do, and get credit for all sorts of natural events - which makes it pretty obvious they are imaginary.

The burden of converting is neither on God nor on the sheep. No person can convert another person. The person himself makes the conversion if he is of that mind.
God does expect his followers to do an education work so that those persons have sufficient information upon which to base a decision to serve God or not.
As to why he expects his followers to share the good news of God's kingdom with others, it is for the same reason he expected Noah to build that enormous ark, even though God himself could have built it or even had his angels build it.
Now, aren't you curious as to why God had Noah build the ark?

he can do that since he is an omnipotent God but he has allowed his people with the guiding hand of the Holy Spirit to be able to be fishes of man as his word says.....in the word of god it shows how Jesus the son of God had come down to the earth to prepare a way and by preparing the way he had ordained prophets among man who will continue the work that he has started 2 thousands of years ago..... Our God is a powerful and BIG God and that cannot be disputed but he has given u and I the opportunity to be able to receive him through the blood of his son our Lord Jesus Christ and by receiving him we are to go out into the world and share his love to others...... Through the cross he has given us the will to choose....Our choices are what that determines our wholebeing....If he has to do everything than it was no use sending us his son Jesus Christ coz he could just speak and we all enter the Kingdom of God....But as it is written in the Bible[living word] that the path to life is narrow and those who find it a few but the path to destruction is wide and many will tend to follow the wider road. so the choice is with each and everyone of us!!

I think God has a sense of humor in a lot of things,God compares sheep to people.Sheep are fearful timid, they cant see very good. They need a shepard to guide lead and protect them.Christ is given to the world as a sacrifice, the lamb of God,spotless and blameless to cover the sins of those who will accepts God's remedy.
God says,I will use the foolish things of this world to confound the wise.
i will use the weak things of this world to confound the strong.
God doesnt force or manipulate any one .God says unless I draw you you cannot come unto me.God says he pursues everone but he will give the choice .

god places onus upon the goats [to be unique [to lead [to walk alone [not follow meekly as a sheep ]
see the sects [divergent house of christ , where the goats have said this is the way ,thus we explore all the meaning and intent of he who as christ revealed us all to be children of the same father
god could easilly be as a queen bee , controling uas with her pheromones , but wants to recieve the honour from a free people chosing to become one in christ of love not fear
to lead not meakly follow
to reason , to use the mind , and the heart as one for the living love

My personal belief is that God (in whatever form you choose to believe in) fully intends for people to "spread the good word," but it is humans who have developed all the rules for "conversion." I have a problem with people who tell me flat out that I am wrong because I don't believe as they do. I don't think any God would want their "followers" to be so disrespectful. I find that anyone who is truly spiritual in their practice has no need to convince me or convert me into anything. :)

Supposedly their god works through his sheep. Some Christians believe that all you have to do is read the Bible and *poof*, you'll magically change your mind and throw away everything you thought to be true.

If he did we would not need priests and holy men. God would put thousands of sheep out of work IF proof ever became available !

If GOD is Omnipresent, then who do we think "we" are. The ego,or personality thrives on individualistic ideas and perceptions. This feeling of separateness in individual perception, comes as the feeling I am. I amness is not unique to any individual, though ego teaches otherwise. I AM is what GOD told Moses "HIS" name was. What in each of us wants to claim what belongs only to Him? If GOD is Omnipresent, then who judges someone as "in need of conversion? Isn't that the same as judging them as lost? If God is Omnipresent, Is it HE who is in control or some little i am?

People can't convert people. Only God converts people. Christians just don't want to see people go to hell, so sometimes they overzealously try to beg/cajole/annoy people to change their minds.
