Are there any stores in specific that sell necklaces of the patron saints or anything? I live in Houston...

Check the phone book for a Catholic bookstore. They will all carry symbols of various patron saints as jewelry, statues, etc., and almost certainly St. Jude will be among them. If they're temporarily out, they will be delighted to order.

go to your yellow pages directory.
Look up "religious goods".
You will, undoubtedly, find a Catholic religious good store (which will, in all likelihood also be a bookstore) listed.
They will have a medallion of St. Jude.
You will be albe to purchase the necklace at any jewlery store, and they will make to size as per your request.
Houston has a large Catholic community there, so this should not pose a problem.
Your other option is to ask you parish priest as sometimes they have such things available for parishoners.

There you can send prayer requests get a necklace, or a little medal.

Catholic churches usually have a gift shop where they sell idols and prayer books of prayers to count on your rosary prayer counter, Mary candles to light as you pray to her thinking she is a middleman to get to God and framed pictures of the Pope to kiss and pretend it has blessing powers over your home.
