If I want to say what i studied in school, what verb tense should i use?

Should I say:

I've learned/studied French in school for 11 years.

or

I studied French in school for 11 years.

That depends if you're still in school and still studying French or not. If yes, say "I've studied", if not, "I studied"

I have studied French in school for 11 years. Looks better.

It depends on the context. If you just recently studied French you would say "I have studied/learned..." And this could also implicate that you are STILL studying French.

If it was a long long time ago, you sould say "I studied/learned...." This can implicate that you do not study French anymore.

The "I've" kind of gives the sentence a feeling of continuation, as if you are still in the process of studying.

When you say, "I studied...", it seems to have a greater sense of finality, that you have completed your studies.

Both are correct. It is a matter of style and expression whether you use or omit the "have" (in full or in the contraction I've)

The former. 'I have studied', or 'I've studied' is correct.
