I'm in agreement with SKCA VE, I don't know if they can or not, but I don't think so. I know YOU as a user cannot get anyone's cell no. from the phone co. because I have tried. But, with CB radio's, they go by signal also, it is a way to find out where they are if you are lucky. But, its a lot of trouble, and usually before anyone tries it, they usually pretty well know who it is, or think it is before they start. You drive around in your car with your cb on, when the signal gets stronger, then you are getting closer. When you are right upon them, it is usually distorted or extra loud.Cells should work the same way, but unlike the cb, they probably wouldn't be on that long for you to trace them.

It's possible for the cell phone company to get pretty close by seeing which tower(s) your phone is logging into, but to pinpoint it, nah. They won't do that for individuals, but they will for law enforcement, if they have a warrant...K ;o)
