In my first question I asked why suicide is an unforgivable sin and murder isn't. I've been told quite a few different stories. Some people say that suicide is unforgivable because once your dead you can't ask for forgivness. However, I thought that once you died you had the chance to confess your sins to God and be forgiven to give you a chance to go to Heaven. And regardless, it makes no sense that murder is forgivable at all.
Other people told me that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the only unforgivable sin. That makes no sense to me at all. If I say "F*ck you Jesus" he sees that as completly unforgivable but I could go out into my livingroom right now and stab my brother and he would forgive me? Well Jesus sounds pretty God d@mn selfish. The whole thing is ridiculous and nobody had the same story so that just proves my theory even more that you guys just make it up as you go along. How can any Christian be so blind to not see how much that religion contradicts itself??

In my bible ( the holy ) , once you die , you die . Your chance to repent ends with your existence . because Now that you know the truth on what lies beyond , You don't need faith any more . That is the very essence that Jesus craves from you . ( faith in Him ) Not without saying , they also need to be in the right frame of mind . God can only judge that .
All sin is the same and all is forgivable ( except suicide ) . Jesus said that " a little white lie is like a murder unto me " Which means if you truly ask for forgiveness , it will happen .
There's way more to it . You just need to read about it . Never take any ones word on it . That's why you think people are contradicting themselves . Everyone takes it up a little different and that goes for all religions .

I have read the Satanic bible , also the Koran , necronomicon , numerous new age books , urantia .

I love learning . I am one of the most well rounded Christians out there . ( O.K. that was my ego talking . sorry , that's a sin )

" know your enemies " which translates to me as When you debate , you must know what your enemy is thinking ..

I think you can be forgiving for both suicide and murder because one that commits this crimes are not right in the mind meaning your brain is not focusing right at the time. God knows your heart weather you do something right or wrong!!! Your second ? yes it is wrong to use God's name in vain but if your truly sorry and ask for forgiveness and try I mean really try not to commit this sin again you will be for giving. There are many stories in the bible that shows how are father God has forgiving us, they were murders liars etc that change there life for God and all was forgiving I hope I share some light to your questions because I just stared studding and have change so much but I still have a long way to go Good Luck

I have questioned this many times, because I have had a family member to take their life. I know that when this takes place the person that is committing suicide is not in their right mental state. When someone murders another human life they will stand before God in judgment as well as I will. I have found that the bible does not lie and can not lie.
The only proven unforgivable sin, is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. I am not the judge; I am only a servant of God's to be used by him for others. The bible was wrote by those who were lead by the spirit; so therefore you have to be in the spirit to gain the understanding of what each book, verse or chapter is telling you, as an individual.

I don't believe that suicide is unforgivable. I don't believe it's in the Bible either and if it is it's more than likely taken out of context. People don't know what God will and won't forgive. God will decide whether to forgive you or not based on whether you're honestly sorry for what you did and your circumstances surrounding you at the time you sinned.

And it's not a Catholic Tradition because I'm Catholic and would know. The church does teach that man (the priests) can forgive sins but the priests only do it though God. If God doesn't wish to forgive someone he doesn't no matter what a person says or believes. So end the end we don't know because we're not dead.

For the believer, his sins are completely forgiven, the work done on the cross. Suicide is not an unforgivable sin, nowhere in the text does it say this. The unpardonable sin is mentioned in these verses:

Mat 12:31 Because of this, I say to you, Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven to men, but the blasphemy concerning the Spirit shall not be forgiven to men.
Mat 12:32 And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him. But whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, not in this age nor in the coming one.

The context is that Christ was removing demons from possessed individuals. The Pharisees stated that He did is by the power of Satan or Beelzebub. The unforgivable sin here is ascribing the works of God to Satan, that is, saying that the works of Christ were the works of Satan. No one is who is a believer would ever say this, so the person who would say this is condemned.

Okay first of all suicide is not unforgivable the only unforgivable sin is blasphemy of the spirit and I would assume that is what you are talking about. What that is is not excepting Christ as your Savior. You sound very confused by the whole subject and if i might ask what are you afraid of? In regards to Christianity? So lets just say for the sake of argument The Bible was all a lie and it was just a book. All those principles of helping out others and sacrificing your self for others are really hurting America right? I just dont understand what everyone is so upset about. All I can say is that Jesus IS real and the ONLY way to eternal life and I hope that you find him

For a sin to be mortal, it must be serious, you must know it is serious and you must have free consent of the will. To die in mortal sin is to die without the forgiveness of God.
When a person commits suicide, one may question if they had free consent of the will or if they really knew what they were doing. Thus if this is so, then it is not mortal.
God forgives all mortal sin, if we repent before we die.
The only unforgivable sin is giving up on God and believing that God would never forgive them and thus never ask for forgiveness. But this only happens if the 3 requisites, mentioned earlier, are present.

Suicide is not a unforgivable sin, I know people say that it is because you can't ask for forgiveness, but to be honest you may not be able to ask for forgiveness for a whole lot of other sins. True salvation and repentance, are heart matters, that manifest themselves in our daily lives!
God is merciful and yes, He is holy! I know that this may not be making a whole lot of sense, but he doesn't like sin, at all no matte what it is.

On another note blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is not as simple as you think. In order to do that you must be in relationship with him.

I will admit that without the Holy Ghost, the Bible is not easily understood!

You are in my prayers

It doesn't seem you understand at all.
Everyone or religion has it's own beliefs or they would be the same religion and no more arguments, see.
So I believe and am told that you can repent up till you die.
Say you were to commit suicide by preparing your car then climbing in to suck fumes, well if you changed your mind and started praying to God because by now you are to weak to stop it then you will go to heaven because you didn't really want to do it.
Or, say you are very sick and can't handle the pain and or the suffering you've been going through for so long. Well it is my opinion that you would go to heaven if you commited suicide for this reason, because you don't really want to die but you can't stand to live either, see what I mean it's the circumstance behind your actions.

As far as murder goes if you repent and receive God you then are cleansed through Jesus.
Some don't believe in Jesus and his dying for our sins so this won't fly with them.
But to each his own.
Jesus's own people killed him, but this was no shock to him as he knew at the age of 13 what his purpose was and that he must die.
Have you read Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah, bellow is a link to the downloadable version.

So yeah....you're not going to heaven if those Anti-holy spirit sentiments were how you really feel.

No, premeditaited murder is not forgivable to you...but would impulsive murders(like if you walked in on your spouse having sex with someone else, you got so full of rage, you killed someone?).

Suicide is forgivable...it's complicated. If you were ignorant of the faith, did not accept Jesus, and were not baptised, then you would not know it was a sin, and therefore it would be forgivable.

Murder is forgivable, well because of what I said above...people get angry...is it wrong? Yes, but isn't all sin wrong? Yes it is, but God still forgives you.

You do not answer to man in the matter of what is forgivable to God and what is not...you may not be forgiven for murder by the government, but God will forgive you.

And so you know, you're wrong about the Holy Spirit thing...Jesus is not the Holy Spirit....the Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit...

No body has the same story because of different interpretations...it's not their fault. You just need to pray to God to get the truth...and watch the language as well.
