Ok, so here is the thing, I got pulled over for reckless driving(b/s) and I got took down to the county jail for a book and release. I was down there about ten minutes, got my car towed, and they took everything that was on me. When I left i got my wallet, ear rings, necklace back but they told me i couldn't have my money back. It got sent to "Escrow" and I don't know what i can do to get my money back.

You'll get your money in Escrow back after your hearing.

Yeah... I'm sure the reckless driving charge was BS.... I've never heard that before.

You could try not being an idiot, that's a good way to avoid this whole headache in the first place. Although, I do thank you for helping secure the jobs of all law enforcement professionals around the country.

Lot of times when you goto county jail with money, they put your money under your account which is under your cimis # which they gave you when your booked 200700..... so you can make commissary to buy stuff. What you have left you should be able to go a get your money back up to 100.00 cash and anything more via check.

I agree with Ted. Ask THEM why. Sounds like they needed to hold the money to assure you will show at a future court date maybe (kind of like a bail). In the meanwhile, call your local community college and enroll in a course that teacher grammar.

It depends on the county. You should have filled out a form to get a check sent to you.

There are other people on the road besides you... dont act like a moron... you could kill someone.

It is called a booking fee. Paid by every person booked into jail. It is non-refundable. How much was taken anyway?

I'm guessing they charged you for using the word Tooken. Just a hunch.

"Tooken" money goes to pay for county expenses. "Taken" money gets returned to the owner.
