Mountain Lions/Pumas/Panthers/Cougars will attack your llamas if that is their only or best option for food. Their natural habitat, prior to Europeans arriving stretched from Canada all the way through South America. In South American, llamas are one the species on which they naturally prey.
They will avoid human areas if possible, but there is growing pressure on their habitat. If there is development in your area, they, and their natural food sources, may be pushed out of their natural habitat and closer to your llamas.
One thing to do is fight urban/suburban sprawl that encroaches on wildlife habitat. Also, if your serious about raising llamas and it's worth the investment, you might try some larger herding dogs, like Great Pyrenees (more than one) for protection.
As far as your cats, you should keep them inside all of the time. Yes the cougar will attack them. Also, your cats prey on native and migratory birds when they're outside. Please make sure they're fixed, too, so they're not outside making more cats.

A mountain lion will attack a large animal, but only if it is hungry. Other times it will walk right by and not bother with it. Mountain lions are nocturnal and usually come out of hiding at sunset to live their night life. They are beautiful creatures to watch in the wild. The top of the food chain. Often they will follow a herd of deer and cull the sick and weak out of the herd for their food. If you encounter a mountain lion, do not run as it will chase you and pounce on you much like you have seen your cats play. You do not want to be its toy. Instead raise your hands high over your head so you look much larger and move ever so slowly towards safety without turning your back to it.

Indeed, a mountian lion will take down llamas! Not a problem for them!
As for the cats, I would be afraid for them as well as they are easy prey for a wildcat!
All I know to do is to be very wise when you are outside! Look into the trees too as they will take the advantage and get on higher levels. This puts him in a good camoflauged area and one in which he can lunge onto his prey as well.
I would not let cats out to wander around too much! As for the chickens...they don't stand a chance!
I wish you luck with this as many are having this problem with all the building and such.

Yes, a mountain lion will, especially if they (the livestock) are caged. A mountain lion does not come down for food unless it isn't getting enough in the mountains or if they find that it is easier hunting down on the ranches / farms / homes. They normally go for the smaller animals (domestic cats) first but if they are feeding their babies, larger animals are hunted. The lion will normally take the carcass away to it's den and not leave it. I live in Calif. and the Dept. of Forestry and Dept. of Hunting and Fishing will set up cages in the area to catch the lion and transfer it to higher ground when caught.

Usually the lion attacks near human habitation (including humans) if they are starving. You should lock up your chickens and cats at night. Coyotes will kill either, weasels and coons will attack chickens
Check with your local SPCA for more info.
