WOW- Kathy P-W- I did not say "rather you like it or not" , I did say that He is Lord even if you do not proclaim Him as such. That is a bit different. And if you or anyone else claimed someone to be god other than Jesus- I would say- "Choose today who you shall serve- I choose Christ"

Whoa! You got a lot of answers on this one!!

1. Jesus is alive- He didn't just die- He rose from the dead to conquer the control that death has on man.
In other words- He is alive.

2. Jesus is the Son of God, divine Redeemer, Friend, Savior, Love...

3. I do have to admit that though He is your Lord, He is not everybody's Lord. It is their choice to make Him Lord of their life. I made that choice and have never regretted it. People just dont' know what they are missing.

Check out this book for an in depth discussion of that question (only if you like thick books - it was a two or three pages a day book for me).

Jesus, to me, is any other person I come into contact with.

It is not my role in the life I mapped out for myself to speak of the religious beliefs of any other individual. I am not religious, I am an atheist. But you asked, and answer I shall. The 'teachings' of Jesus, a short, dark-skinned, uncouth, probably unwashed country fellow, and sometimes brave and sometimes no more than a minor league magician and seer, was said to have spoken ultimate truth. Fact was, his words, as they were passed down, were to be found, when he walked the sandy soil of the boondocks in the regressive Roman Empire, in other sources, not the least of which were rabbinical teachings. But no matter--what matters is that his calls for love toward other human critters has done our puling species no harm. Was he a god, did he rise from the dead, for crying out loud, and ascend into some 'heaven' in the blue sky, for crying out loud? Of course not.

Jesus is irrelevent to me and my faith.

Your assertion that "Jesus is lord whether I like it or not" is bullshit. Jesus is YOUR lord, that may be true, but this "whether I like it or not" sounds more like a threat or blackmail than any kind of loving god.

How would you react if someone told you that Osiris was your god, whether you liked it or not? You'd probably say that Osiris was a "false god." Well, to non-Christians, Jesus is a false god, and in addition, a false messiah. He may be the real god and real messiah to *Christians,* and a prophet to Muslims, but he is irrelevent to every other faith on the planet, just as our beliefs and our deities are irrelevent to you and your faith.

In your assertion that your god is the only god that matters, you, in effect, called all other gods "false." Remember the Golden Rule: If you don't want your god called "false," then please refrain from saying such a thing of others' gods.
