When I was a toddler, my parents told me, I always looked at the sky and pointed when an airplane flew by. By the age of eight I was building rubber band powered airplanes from balsa wood. I was never in doubt.

I am very sorry that you are being pushed into a field when your heart is not in it. Maybe you can reason with your father. Your best chance of career success comes from studying for a profession that you are passionate about. I do not know if you can force it.

You need to do what you want to do. Don't let your parents live vicariously through you. If you are not interested in engineering it then pursuing it would be meaningless to you and you would never have any real enjoyment or sucess out of it. Find what you love and do that. If you do what you love you will be happy. This is your life now, not your parent's.

if you really want to do it then you need to engage yourself in it.Design and build something or help someone else design and build something.
