Depends on what kind of paint is on the wall underneath the glue too. If it's flat paint, it's a touger issue. If it's eggshell or semi-gloss, it comes off easier. Many times some WD-40 on a rag will dissolve the glue.

try putting a damp cloth over it and then a hot iron on the cloth. A lot of those glues will melt.
