You're right. My wife just made me watch that movie last night, I think it was called "Riding in Cars With Boys" or something like that. The god character in the movie explained his absence to his son by saying that "the best thing I ever did was stay away from you and your mom..."

I know it may seen like that but listen. Jesus went to God and said, "I want man to be able to come into heaven." So God had to find a way for him to do this. Since Man had sinned he could not have his perfect son go into the world coming from sin. Woman was deceived by the serpent and so God went to a pure virgin and told her that she would be the portal for God to come into the world. Jesus did this knowing about the Crucifixion and knowing he would be tortured and spit upon. Then why would he do this when he had such a cushy life up in heaven? Answer : you. In the days before Jesus people had to kill lambs that where perfectly white and had nothing wrong with it to cover their sins and look pleasing to God. Jesus was our lamb. He was killed and his blood was shed so that when God looks at us all he can see is Jesus' blood instead of our sins. We can't go to heaven with sins so once we ask God to forgive us Jesus can cover us with his love and we will be pleasing to God. God was not a deadbeat Jesus wanted to do this and that is why he was Born of a virgin and Killed.

God is all around.....He didn't leave town...but think of what Jesus said to God when He was on the cross
"Father why have you forsaken me?"....if you only read this, than yes you would think He was a dead beat dad....but in reality no, He was always around....how else would Jesus be able to do His miracles? Just because He was the son of God doesn't mean He nesscessarily had the same powers.

Jesus answered that in His own words. We sometimes act as though He is a dead-beat dad, whose attentions are directed elsewhere in the universe, instead of the compassionate, all-loving, merciful, gracious Father that Jesus told us about.
Jesus was God displayed so that we could know His character. Was Jesus ever too busy for a person in need? Didn’t He weep with the grieving sisters who had lost their brother? He repeatedly put aside His own needs to minister to the hurt and sick and dying. He cared so much about the insecurities of a tax collector that He singled him out and had lunch with him to show him his significance. He deeply cared about each individual. And if we see Jesus, we see God the Fathers heart in action.
And lets not forget about Joseph ...

Jesus and God were in perfect communion with each other at all times - except for the brief moment when God had to turn His back so that Jesus alone could bear the sins of the world on Himself....
blessings donkey :)

that's particularly unhappy to could study solutions like this. Whoever you're you have a warped sense of opinion. that's my wish which you will some day strengthen up and grow to be greater knowledgeable. an answer which incorporate this leads me to have faith which you lack any significant upbringing. you're able to try to learn, before you criticize something approximately which you realize somewhat little.

If you don't believe in God, then there is no point in asking this question because you don't believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, nor do you believe that He was God's Son.
If you DO believe in God, then that means you have read the parts of the Bible that discuss Jesus Christ's birth, life, and death and this is a pointless question because you know why it happened the way it happened.
So what is your point in asking this question?

Well I dont remember him giving any of that divine knowledge, and power of his to his child in the bible. Supposedly he came to many prophets (moses, Abraham..etc) but not his own son...............A little strange dont we think.
Also who would allow their child to be beaten, bloodied, ridiculed, and eventually die a horrible demeaning death........If this is divine LOVE....No thank you, Remind me to Thank my parents that they didnt love me that much!!!!
And Im sure if I let me son read the bible (which I dont) he would also be glad I dont love him like that, I want to protect him when and where I can, and sometimes I cant even do that enough.

Yes - the original one!
Let's not forget his messup on that whole Adfam & Eve thing; he has kids, doesn't give them the knowledge of right or wrong (or death), then punishes them for a "sin" they couldn't comprehend!
