We are registering our 9 month old American Pitbull Terrier. He is black and his call name is Phantom. His dads name was Sphinx. Any suggestions for a name that has one or both of these?

It will be a mouthful if he gets out and into the neighborhood
"here Terrasque"! It is a nightclub (never been) between the phantom and the sphinx.

If you are registering your dog you can have as many names as you want. I have a dog registered name is "Token Shaft Bad Mo' Shut your mouth" So you can register your dog as Phantom Sphinx Flyboy South if you want or anything else you want to add. They are pretty lax about letting you name your dog as long as it is not suggestive, rude or bad language. I worried about the name I submitted but it came back just fine.

Khafra is the name of the god which is believed to be the face on the sphinx of giza...
Be creative and just read up on the Sphinx thing... Good luck!

How about: Midnight, Annerire (Italian for "black") Schwarz, (German for "black" and also sounds like "Sphinx") Rico, Coal Dust, Asphalt, Smoky, Tartar, American Fighter, Moreno (Spanish for "dark haired") Canyon, Tegucigalpa, or Tornado?

I would name him Shadow Phantom. It's creepy yet cool. Me and allmost all my friends here agree. Megan says name him Chocolate Thunder.

Cole is always a nice name. So if Phantom.
Phoenix isn't bad. Has the P from his call name and X from his father's name.
