I have no idea what my blood type is,but I suppose it would be an important thing for me to find out.

Sineadsparkles, O + is the best.
It is the commonest blood group in the world. If you ever need transfusion O + blood is least likely to be scarce.
Practically these days, most blood transfusion services would only match like blood groups. So the universal donor or recipient status is not much important now except in times of exceptional urgency and scarcity.
B + can never be given AB

I am AB+ the third most rare blood type, also known as the universal recipient.

Sineadsparkles, O+ is NOT the universal donor, O- is universal as it can be given to anyone, especially important for people who are Rh-

i am O positive, it is probally the worst b/c i am an universal blood donar but i can only receive O while someone with Bpositive can receive B, AB, and O blood!
