I thought I'd read that the oldest you can be to enter as a first year is 21, but have they changed that policy? What's the oldest you can be to gain admission there?

The oldest you can be to join ANY military academy is 22 years old. But, if you turn 23 before July 1st, then you CAN NOT join. I hope you will still apply though.

Be at least 17 years of age and not have reached the 22nd birthday on 1 July of the year of admission to the Naval Academy.

mrsjvb, that answer in wrong. There are quit a few Midshipman that are married and have dependents. If you come from the enlisted ranks in the Navy Academy, your married and dependent status has no bearing on your admittance to Annapolis. After Plebe year, you can also live off campus if you're married.
