Could be both. One could have been God's Will for that child to be in Heaven, while the other one shouldn't have lived, but did. Religious people who have children die are usually the first ones to say that was God's WIll, and they accept it.

Each child is a miracle. Life is a miracle - a continual victory over the 3rd law of thermodynamics.

A miracle is not something that is supernatural - a miracle is something that make people see God and turn to God.

As to "why?" I cannot explain that. To me, the question of why person A dies and person B lives is a tought one. It is indeed the result of God's permissive will (God could have changed the outcome) but I stop at the idea that God made the choice between A and B...sometimes that choice is made by a person with a gun, for example.

By the way, these kind of questions are usually posed with children as the victims - but that does not change anything. Just makes it seem more 'unfair' - which is a human contruct whereas God works in terms of mercy and justice.

IMHO, of course. Good question, better since it was posed w/o an obvious slant pro- or versus God.

Everything in life is at the hand of God!There is no such thing as a miracle becaause if there were, why would some religious people get them and not others?Very interesting question,im going with that it was Gods will.

Yes it couldn't possibly be that the chemo managed to slow down the cancer. Or that one child may have been diagnosed at an earlier age so that it could be easier to help get rid of the cancer. Anytime anything interesting happens just thank god.

I think it is absolutely horrid of us to say that the death of child is God's Will. God's Will was for humans to live forever on a beautiful earth, blessed with everything. Things that have happened since Eden ARE NOT HIS WILL. He just allows us to live our lives without interferance from him, to answer the question raised in Eden. That if we eat the fruit We will know right from wrong, become Gods' ourselves and not need our heavenly father. All these terrible things that happen to human beings are because of our own rebelliousness against God, and he is proving a point. But he sent his one and only son down to earth to make sure that death is wiped out...for no one truly dies in God's eyes. They are merely 'sleeping' as Jesus said. So please, don't blame God for a child's death, but the one who started this whole mess. God's opposer.

Did they both have the same kind of cancer and level of progression, I would ask
It could be a miracle or healing, did they pray and God for God to heal
It could just be God's devine intervention, I have seen many lose this battle and I am sure the rest they received was better than living in that state of being
many of my friends and loved ones have lost the battle, I fought it and won
I believe the Hand of God was upon me to catch it early

God has nothing to do with that unless is it for the purpose of his will. God's will is to restore his kingdom and restore paradise on earth.

Neither. It's what happens. Some times we win, sometimes we loose.

I say it was beause of the way the stars were aligned. They moved themselves into a certain position--causing explosions and floods and other natural disasters on worlds far away SOLELY for the purpose of saving one child from cancer and killing another.

Believe me, it was the stars. Makes perfect sense, don't you think?
