God is not one of us. But he did come to earth as his son Jesus Christ and lived as one of us. He was not a slob. On the contrary, he lived a perfect life without sin, doing what the Father in Heaven told him to do.
Instead of being a slob, I suggest that...
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Who being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death- even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-11

He came to us in the form of Jesus because he could see how disgusting some of his children were behaving, came to show us that no matter what happens in this life, is not as important as seeing the light of everlasting life with him. Like being lost in the forest in a blinding snow storm, if no one came to rescue you you would freeze to death and the critters would eat ya.

God wants us to be his hands and feet in this world. So, in a way, He is one of us. He lives through us. We are to treat people like He would treat people. When we see someone in need, we should try to help if we can.

That is an impossible answer to answer, for God is a Spirit and we are dust.

He'd be on death row or serving a life sentence in prison for slaughtering firstborns, conspiring to have his kid beaten and executed, and inciting people to murder others, and all that 'good', 'moral', and 'loving' stuff.

God was one of us and we KILLED him, but alas 3 days and he was risen with forgiveness for all who seek him.

Lame song.
I notice the fact that Joan Osbourne has not had any other "hits".
Must be proof that she doesn't matter to the charts.
