If your brain gets shaken very badly, you could end up with what it called shaken baby's syndrome. ~

Well, actually roller coasters don't give you brain damage. In fact, what those roller coasters do is to increase the g-force (gravitational force) by making good use of centrifugal force and gravity throughout the ride... In plain English, you will feel the gravity increase, without mentioning the velocity, when you ride on those... and it's FUN!!!!!!!!

But some people who will ride on those and feel panic, their blood pressure will rise, and if they are not healthy they may die of a heart attack. But not from brain damage...

I love roller coasters too, and for what I know my brain has not been damaged by those... yet!!!! LOL

the brain is fairly well protected inside the skull, and just riding a roller coaster isn't likely to injure you. People that die as a result almost always have an underlying health issue that they aren't aware of, like an aneurysm or undiagnosed high blood pressure. Of course if you are not properly restrained and hit your head, yeah, you can cause damage.

Hey Missa..no question is stupid if you really are unsure of the answer and would like to know..there are only stupid answers...like this one.

No, no..you don't get brain damage FROM the coasters, you HAVE to HAVE brain damage to ride them! (LOL!) I say that only cause I'm jealous..I LOVE roller coasters but can no longer ride them because of a back injury...(wahhhhh).

Now..Only_ Solo_ Rose has given you the absolute truth..not a jealous one like mine... :)

anything that makes your head flop back and forth can cause brain damage. The brain sloshes back and forth against your skull and can get damaged.

Only if you hit your head or get whiplash. Otherwise, if you have no history of heart disease, you should be OK.
