I look for natural drains off of the beach or fish an area that has a good trough along it these are very productive area's to find fish.
I also like to find a good sand bar out around 50 to 75 yards rom the beach theses help channel fish and hold some types of fish also. And it makes a good place to go to when tide is low!

Fishing from the beach is often hit or miss. The only advantaged an experienced angler might have is the ability to read the beach. This means you look for any kind of sand structure oddity on the beach. This usually signals that there are cuts in the ocean and the water rushes in faster to the beach. Baitfish usually hang out in cuts, thus food for the bigger fish.
