The library of the U.S. Congress Library was once asked for three of the best books on the life of Christ. His first recommendation was White, THE DESIRE OF AGES. If it is not available at your library, it can be ordered in the U.S. at 800-843-8585--they ship anywhere in the world.
Another book I highly recommend can be purchased for $15, or all five chapters read free on-line. It is "THE WISE SHALL UNDERSTAND--The Bible Code Revealed." The code proves Jesus is the Messiah, identifies Antichrist, and tells the timing of the great conflict between good and evil. Select www.revelado.org/revealed.htm

Until We Have Faces by CS Lewis (yes, the Narnia guy) is a great novelization of the Cupid and Psyche legend. Within the story a small kingdom's goddess "marries" in to a neighbor's pantheon when they made piece treaties with them.
It is a neat first person perspective on pantheons growing.

Evolutionary Quantitative Genetics by Derek A. Roff
And look for books on micro evolution in the animal kingdom, even prominent figures in Christianity agree with that.
And I don't know if you are a young person, but read some books about Islam. Although I don't agree with it, its much different then the media portreys it.

Jewish Ethics by Rabbi Joseph Telushkin
I was writing a comment on a question about Hitler.
My source would have included the above book, the 3 rd wretch, history of ww2, christainty, muslims, and islom/islam.
Has very much as to why the ill behavior have been done to me, and every word true. That comment and question was deleted, or so the messages that shows tells me.

Richard Dawkings 'God Delusion' does a great job laying out atheist argument. If you want something with a little more bite Sam Harris 'The End of Faith' and 'Letter to a Christian Nation' are in my opinion brilliant. They have a rare 'lets stop taking crap and mobilize' sorta edge to them. Thomas Paine was a great writer too during the revolutionary era. Hope thats a good start.

Umm, i saw a book called "Ultimate gay sex" in a bookstore. Not that that has to do with anything. Just felt like pointing it out.
Anyways, why not "The quotable atheist"? Its a book with a bunch of atheist quotes.
Dont know what the authors name is though. Sorry!
