I have always thought that one of the differences between women and men is that women need to be -told- 'I love you' but men need to be -shown- that you love them.
If you love a guy you will show it without even meaning to. Women are just generally more thoughtful about things like that. If you love a guy you'll smile a certain way when you see him. Neither of you are really aware of it, but he notices it. You'll do things for him, even things he didn't know he wanted. You'll both feel more secure with each other and relaxed with each other, and you'll be happy just to be together.
Of course you can show a guy you love him by getting him things, cooking for him, all that stuff. And you'll do that, but it's not as necessary as you might think. If you really love him, he'll get the message.

In the words of Snow Patrol
" Those three words, are said to much, and not enough"
The great " I love you". Are you afraid of saying those words yourself or are you afraid of what the person you are saying it too will do afterwards? Make sure that you do not have any reservations about saying it because if you do you need to sit down and have a good think about why you have those reservations. " I love you" is kind of thrown around in today's society, but if you really REALLY mean it, those words can have an impact.
I think more people could help you out if you described the situation with more depth. On the chance that you are coming out of the blue with this, and you have not dated the person, you will have to take it slowly till you will feel comfortable enough to say it.
I hope some of that helps.

There are all kinds of ways to show you care for someone genuinely, but you run the risk that things are misinterpreted. Instead of taking the long way around the barn, I prefer directly expressing the full extent of my feelings, then allowing my actions to support that assertion....that way I'm sure what information was conveyed.

Its all about being there for the ones you love.
The small things you sacrifice to make their lives better, from making coffee without moaning to taking the cup away after wards. We all think its the big things that show our love, but in fact, its the multitude of small things that add up.

well in my opinion, you cant tell someone you love them with out telling them. you can show them but really i mean its like you are buying their love.
and really in retrospect you don't love them if you cant tell them and admit to them that you do.
that is my opinion though.
good luck in what ever you decide

by saying it there is no other word like it that's why it's so special and they probably know it's hard for you so that will make it even more meaningfull but if that dosen't work for you, you can always make a mixed tape!

it's the small things that count. Making dinner for them unexpectedly, taking them on a random date, grabbing their hand in public for no reason at all. those types of things.

There is nothing like actually saying it.
You can flirt and give hints but he or you should eventually say it.
