The Quran is written in Arabic and Bible written in Hebrew (and translated into English today) so its basically people from two different worlds. If youre lucky enough to be exposed to either it is up to your personality of which you like better. Gernerally they have the same beliefs: One god, be good, pray, etc.. but its about the minute details that sets Christians and Muslims apart: WHAT you want to CALL this one god, WHAT defines good, HOW you pray, etc ...
The deicsion of which set of details to surround his/her life is their own choice!

The koran has been modified a lot more than the bible has and most of the older texts of the bible(the ones that were translated) are the same now(just worded a little differently but everything is still as it was) It was done in this manner so that regular ordinary people could read the bible and the "power" wasn't given to "just" the high priests of the Christian community. This was possible due in part to Martin Luther.Look at it this way...If you believe that the bible is really the word of GOD,do you think that he would allow others to twist everything that he has spoken? The answer is... No..Because even in the bible there are warnings for people who try to twist what he has spoken.

Many scholars say that the Quran has been edited and is the work of multiple authors. The Bible has always been claimed by believers to be the work of the Holy Spirit but through the gifts and personalities of human authors .
I choose the Bible because of the New Testament which strikes me as very much morally and theologically superior to the Quran. The Quran has much that is edifying but I find no real contest between it and the New Testament which IMHO is obviously far greater. In comparison the Quran is a throw-back

The choice is: Follow Gods Word or follow Worldly Religions. I choose to follow Gods Word. You are mistaken in your beliefs, the Quran has been edited hundreds of times. As a matter of fact, Mohammud didn't even write most of it. It was written by his followers, many years later, from memory.
You have not done the research for yourself, you only parrot what others say. At least give God the respect He is due and study the facts before you start saying Yes to one or No to the other. God Bless You....Peace.

How do you think that the Bible has been "edited"? If you mean that it's been translated into different languages and forms, then true. However, unless you're talking about the version that removes all gender references, the Jeffersonian bible that removes all miracles, or the Mormon or JW bibles, all versions still remain true to the content & Spirit of the original manuscripts.
The Qur'an has been the source of tremendous evil and deceit.
If one decides to be "religious" then they could follow either one. However, if one wants the Truth, and a personal relationship with the One, True God, then it is much better to follow His Holy Word, rather than something that was written by an unrepentant, lying, whoremongering, child molester.

If it was never modified, what's up with all the different sects?
4:136 Oh ye who beliefe! Believe in Allah and His Apostle, and the Scriptures He hath sent to His Apostle and the scripture which He sent to those before (him). Any who denieth Allah, His angels, His Books, His Apostles, and the Day of Judgment, hath gone far, far astray.
[KEY REFERENCE!!! "Believe the Scripture which He sent to those before." THAT means the Bible! Yet the Bible and the Quran contradict each other on key points. (Jesus as God-Man, Salvation by the Cross) Therefore, how can they have the same Author? And if they don't have the same Author, which is which? Qu'ran says it agrees, but it doesn't. That is called a lie. Therefore it MUST have been authored by a LIAR. Scripture identifies that liar as Shaitan. Therefore, the Qu'ran was likely authored by Satan, posing as an angel of light, rather than by Gabriel. COME AWAY FROM HER, MY PEOPLE!]
5:21 "O my people! Enter the holy land which Allah hath
assigned unto you, and turn not back ignominiously, for
then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin."
[This is obviously God speaking to the People of Moses. Why then do you fight against the Children of Israel when they are only obeying the Koran???]
If the Bible is corrupted, how come the newly discovered copies of it agree with what we already have?
Latest manuscripts from 63AD are no different from commonly accepted source texts. So where is this so-called 'corruption'?

The Qur'an is more or less the same as our old testament with some of the things it says like an eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth. The reason why the bible has been changed so many time is that protestants starting about 400 years ago wanted not to be assosiated with Catholic beliefs and so they alterned the bible so that what they didn't believe in wasn't in there (very nice!). The J.W.'s have now taken that one step further and taken out all reference to Jesus being the son of God. So start with a Catholic King James Bible - your best bet.

Hi,
The Scriptures in the Bible have very little mistranslations, and has been proven through the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Qur'an is not a book given to us by God. Jesus said "I have foretold you all things", so there was no need for additional writings.

From what I have read and hear...the koran is a very unique and interesting book. My problem with it is that even though the mention Jesus...They deny who He is and what He did. So, because I have a knowledge and testimony that Jesus is our Lord and Savior the Son of the Living God, and that it is because of His suffering and sacrifice that the atonement can be made part of our lives...If I had to choose between the 2 books listed...I would have to go with the one that teaches this most important and amazing truth over a book, no matter how interesting, that teaches the opposite.
Just my opinion.
Now, I would choose My Quad over either one in a heart beat. (KJV Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price)

Ummmmm.....
I guess you have never read the Quran or the Haditha.
The Quran is a rambling diatribe, no history, no parables, no real guidance for living. It is punctuated by lots of "Allah is all knowing, all merciful" and stuff like that. Most of the small amount that is actually readable and makes some sense is bastardized stories from the Bible, just slightly skewed. Maybe it sounds better in Arabic, it probably is poetic or something, but....why don't you read it for yourself?????
Have you read the haditha? OMG, it has lots of totally whacked stuff that Mohammed did that was unbeleiveably horrific. Including killing a woman's husband, father, and family, then raping her that very night, and forcing her to marry him the following morning. He also had two poets murdered (one was a nursing mother slaughtered while her baby was at her breast) for making poems that satirized him. It also describes how to "prove" that you killed the infidel so you would have proper rights to his "booty" including his wife. Sick. Disgusting. Repulsive. And also how he skrewed the little nine year old "wife" Aishah, after calling her in from playing on the swings.
