This is a "what is your though" question.
I skipped supper for around 3months 4years ago and lost an astonishing 60lbs and NEVER felt better in my life. I hate breakfast but when I skipped dinner I would love it and eat a big breakfast because I was truly hungry. I felt great, ate well during breakfast and lunch and was a happier person. So why should I not do this again, since I can make it a lifestyle change. The russians say "eat breakfast by your self, share your lunch with a friend and give your supper to your enemies".
If I drink a low calorie protein shake before bed why should I not do this? My body did not go into starvation mode before and I felt great, it seemed like I always just felt "lighter"
Thanks

irma m, that is how that saying goes. But not how the saying I alluded to goes. :)

Thanks everyone for the encouragement.

I looked up the hilton head diet and that is another "diet" that not many people including me with fulltime school and 3 children under 6 can manage.

Bottom line with anything: Does it work? Most of the time they say not to skip meals but there's no universal answer for everyone. Everyone's body and situation are different. So if you've found something that works great for you stick with it. Just don't make the mistake of thinking that this can work for everyone. Just say here's what I did. Maybe it can work for you.

Actually the saying goes, " eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a queen and dinner like a pauper". Anyway, I prefer the Hilton Head diet. It has bee revised and I lost 50 pounds in 11 weeks. If your interested, I could give you the diet. Its easy and very delicious!

Hmmm. I thought having 5 meals a day with moderation makes you lose weight...it boost your metabolism so you burn more calories and it doesn't exhaust your pancreas (so you won't have diabetes, especially with strong family history).

If it worked for you before, then go for it. You are not actually skipping a meal, just consuming a lot less for that meal. I think its a great idea.

Hey if this works for you, and you feel good, then i say go for it. I would suggest though that you take a multivitamin every day, just incase.

Well, it sounds like it's working for you, so keep doing it! As long as it is healthy, I can't see what's wrong with it!
