After all, he offers $250,000 (which may or may not exist) to anyone who can demonstrate evolution (although he defines it differently than the scientific community) to a reasonable doubt (meaning with 100% certainty, allowing for no other possibilities whatsoever) in front of a neutral committee (handpicked by Hovind himself) and according to certain criteria (carefully worded so as to rule out any possibility whatsoever of the challenge ever being met).

Maybe it has something to do with the fact he's currently doing time in a Federal Prison.

Well, that and the fact that Hovind created this challenge for the benefit of those who already believe him, not for those who don't. It's not a genuine challenge, it's propaganda.

As in many other cases, his stance will only strengthen the stances of like-minded individuals, while those who understand where he is wrong will likewise be strengthened in their own convictions. Or, neither side will gain anything. That's just how it goes when you set things up to fail.

Edit: As weemaryanne said.

Shoot, I'll pay out $250,000 if anyone can prove that God talks to them. Shouldn't be hard with the millions of people that claim it.
