Salad itself won't provide you with the proper nutrients your body needs. It also won't help if you drown the salad in dressing, which can be very fattening.
Depending on what you normally eat, make healthier meal decisions. Instead of eating a salad, try eating grilled chicken with fresh steamed vegetables. Not only is this more filling, but it'll give you more of the nutrients you need.

And im a runner and it takes alot of training to get the strenght and endurance to get up to and hour or more of running a day Can u do that?? if so thats great but have you even tried yet? o and if u said youll just eat salad and water youll probably lose the muscle first and with all that cadio u might end up fainting by the end of the week but yea u would lose weight but when u diet that way muscle goes first......

are you an athlete trying to cut your weight? Ok well salad and running is good but you need protein other wise your going to start just losing muscle and water weight ok. So make sure to keep your lean proteins in your diet. Including skinless chicken breasts & lean beef. You also need "more" than 1 cup of salad per meal. Add lots of stemed Veggies to your diet. Green leafy would be best! ~ Have a great day courtesy of Jesus.

eating only 1 cup of salad a day? and exercise? Your body will need much more nutrition then that.... if you're going to exercise like that, then be sure you eat plenty of carbs, along with protein.
OMG.. your best bet would to loose weight safely, and not really listen to the other answers... research some websites on diet and excersise.

Don't thonk weight, think how you look in the mirror. Seriously, just be happy with yourself. Salad will help you lose weight because it is a food that makes you feel full. That is why you eat it before a big meal like at restaurants.

adding a salad to your diet will not make you lose weight. replacing foods with more fat/calories with a salad will, especially if you are adding exercise. you still need carbs, it is very unhealthy to try to live without them. just eat the right ones, whole grain breads and pastas and brown rice.

If salad replaces fatty food it is great for weight loss. You can never eat too many fresh vegetables.
