Im 17 years old, im not overweight, but my dad says i need to lose at least 10 lbs by xc season which starts in the middle of august. and really i agree with my dad because it would make it easier to run. how do i lose that 10 lbs in a healthy way but fast and easy? and dont tell me to cut out carbs because as a runner you need carbs. Oh and i dont like lettuce so salads are out of the question

well you probably know the entire concept of eating 5-6 meals. but have you tried a lot of weight training? not intensely; but try doing some weight resistence. that should build muscle which burns more calories :D and uhmm. swim it's SUMMER have fun with that and snack on fruits//veggies. a lot of darker vegetables are good.

make sure you are eating healthy and try to take in less than 1000 calories a day that will make it much easier to loose those extra pounds. Also drink plenty of water and eat as little carbs as possible stick to the fruits and veggies wkhich still have carbs just not as many.

in the morning

1/2 cup milk
a southbeach diet muffin
and 1/2 a banana

lunch

1 small lean quisean(sp) meal
1 cup vegetables

snack

either the other half of the banana or another fruit of your choice

dinner

the larger lean quisean(sp) meal
optional if your still hungry-100 calorie pack

and drink lots of water. i was on this exact diet for 2 weeks and lost a total of 13 pounds
