Sparkplug, I am not here to change your mind or anyone else's. You have made your choice. I am asking a simple question. I only wanted a simple answer. I know God is real. My eyes have been opened. Yet I myself can do nothing, it is God Who harvests the seed that has been planted and has grown into either a tree with fruit or one which is barren.

Yaktur, I am a Teacher by profession. there are books in every school. All say things slightly differently depending on the publisher, etc. Are you willing to cast aside your education for the fact that their are different prints of the academics you learned in school? Of course not. So why then would you so easily dismiss God"s Word for the same human error made in a far less technological age?

If it weren't the real deal the apostles wouldn't have risked their lives to spread its teachings. What is significant about the apostles is that they were afraid after Jesus was taken from them (temporarily). They hid and denied knowing Him. After His resurrection they had no more fear. They showed this by spreading the Gospel even in the face of death. Even going to the Satanically inspired Roman Empire. They must have seen and knew something compelling.
And for those who feel that it was grossly misinterpreted many times. Though the catholic church added to the texts over the centuries. The several centuries old Dead Sea Scrolls found in Israel proved to be almost exact word for word reflection of what we read now. This what put into the NIV. The bible was never so misinterpreted to change any of its original teachings. It has always remained well preserved for thousands of years. God made sure of it.
God bless

After reading 20 of the 23 answers given I am sure that what the Bible says about the way being narrow and few finding it is true. But answering thousands of questions in here had verified it before many times.
Let's forget about what if. I know the Bible is true and also that it is God's Word because I know the Author personally!
He has been my source of strength for over 33 years among many other things, and the wise will acknowledge Him and His word in this life or perish and be eternally separated from Him in a place that nobody wants to go to but everyone who doesn't know Christ tells others to go to.
Multitudes of questions concerning this topic have been posted here, and there are a certain group of individuals who always run their mouth without using their brain. Their bigotry is expressly shown in their answers, and their answers are always the same. It is a great tragedy that they waste so much time seeking to disprove what they know nothing about.
I apologize to you as a Christian brother, for being so abrupt, but every now and then it gets tiresome reading the useless and frivolous words of those who reject wisdom and counsel in favor of their opinion. Their blindness is a grief to my soul and to the heart of God who loves them even when they are so obstinate in their unrelenting pursuit of ignorance. I hope they will some day see how very serious this is and how very important it is to them before it is eternally too late.

The reason this fact has not been discovered is because it is not a fact. Satan has been trying to disprove God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit ever since the beginning and he is not going to stop now. The time is getting too close for his end and destruction and he is going to carry as many people into the bottomless pit with him that he can. The sad part is, these people will follow him without knowledge, simply because they do not want the knowledge. However when they come into the knowledge, then it will all be over and too late for them.

The reason people are now questioning it is because our recent explosion in technology. In the last fifty years we have gained so much compared to a few hundred years ago where one world changing invention would come around once every fifty years or so. With intelligence comes questioning. Hence, those in the Dark Ages would stab you for saying something didnt happen in the Bible compared today you can say anything want and the worst that will happen is someone says the exact opposite what you say.

That's why the Bible says that, "Narrow is the road that leads to life, and few will find it." People have a hard time believing that they are not immortal. Sin and evil have existed ever since Adam and Eve were tempted and sinned, and evil has been here on earth ever since. That is why Jesus had to come to earth and sacrifice himself for us. The Bible says that without the shedding of pure blood there cannot be forgiveness of our sins, and also that the wages of our sin is death.
We as men and women are born with sin, and we have troubles believing that Jesus is the only way that our sins can be forgiven. Only he can help us with out, and most people think they dont need anybody because we are all selfish people.
Great question.

It's not fake, there has been a lot of proof found, from things that are in the Bible, and if you go back to the original scrolls, many things have been proved that are in the Bible. Some people read the Bible when they get in hard times, others find it a way of running their life. It seems to me like everyone in Prison has the Bible on the most wanted list. Other things to read are poetry which can really south the soul, and listening to soft music without subliminal messages. I think the DR Phil book is requested a lot, and other self help books are out there, of which I can't really remember the names of them.

Nobody says it's fake; it's simply NOT an original book. I'm obviously talking about the Old Testament. All the stories told there, all the characters, were already known to the Sumerians ( black-headed people) who wrote about them, originally, around 3500 BC; the "Enuma Elish" , (literally "When on High" ), the Epic of the Creation, is one of the original sources from which the stories written in the Old Testament were taken. Sumerian was the very first language used by Mankind, it was written in Cuneiform writing, on clay tablets thousands of years before the very first books of the Bible were compiled. On those tablets you can find the ED.IN (Eden) = Abode of the Upright, and then ALL the characters and places the Bible, as well as the Book of Enoch for instance, talk about, EACH with its own original Sumerian name and meaning;) in facts, AB.EL, CA.IN, ADAMA, as well as EVERY Biblical name has an original Sumerian meaning which most people ignore;) I'm a Sumerologist, so I know what I'm talking about;)

The Bible is not fake, the people who refuse to accept it and live by it are the fake ones. They will not open their eyes to the Truth, many because they do not know their sinful ways or do not want to accept their responsibilities as a sinner.

God's Word is eternal. Many have tried to disprove it, stamp it out, and critercize it. However, it's truth unchanged has ever stood. It is as relevant today as it always has been. It has transformed billions of people's lives, all down through the centuries.

good question. Our society as a whole are swayed by the "popular group" and want to belong, be accepted,
I think this is what has happened throughout history, even with those who "wrote" the bible.
And why some parts may have been "left out"
