I take a lot of pictures of myself.
I often take pictures of buildings.
I enjoy taking pictures of landscapes.
I like the way the tree's look against the sky.
But i really like to take pictures at a lower angle,
So the object looks much taller, then you have the sky.
I think it can make a really beautiful image sometimes.

Pictures of people on the street. They make great subjects and are far more interesting than flowers in a meadow or waves on the beach - we've seen all those before but we haven't seen Mrs Rosenburg trying to put her broken umbrella up in a thunderstorm - now that is a photo worth taking - even if it is out of focus. If you want to take photos with a bit of character - take photos of people you don't know when they don't know you are taking them. It's great fun!

Well, it really depends on where I am! When I went to Washington DC last May, I photographed lovely colorful roses, garden shots with a fountain in it, statues, street vistas, landscape shots, Memorial Day parade shots, the Lincoln Memorial and the like, and what ever hit my eye just the right way! I had an epiphany last year: I had expanded my photography and muse beyond taking shots of nature and such to capturing shots of architecture, statues, city skyscrapers and the like... but I had not satisfied what I began doing with photography... taking pics of things from nature like flowers, landscapes, and such. So I saw I needed to fulfill that innate initial desire in my photography as well as continuing to expand into other arenas. So that's what I do! In DC I shot dozens of photos of lovely and colorful roses and other flowers as well as the statues and all to cover both! You'll have to discover that for yourself too friend. Be willing to experiment and explore. Take pics of things you have no idea what you'll do with it! I do! I ask myself "What am I gonna do with that"? I say to myself that I don't know... but I'm gonna take it anyway! You may be taking a shot of something for someone else's enjoyment and pleasure. I took shots of the Korean War memorial though I don't have any friends who was in it. Things you may not see much in, others will see it with different eyes. So go for it and see where it takes you.

I have a Kodak dx6490. 4MP, 10X zoom, with manual functions for shutter, ISO, and exposure. It has a PC connect that I use external flashes with, along with "ebay remotes."

Not a top of the line camera, but usable. I have also built my own mini-studio, with lights, flashes, backgrounds, etc...

I shoot nature pics, scenic urban photos, and do portraits for people, along with portfolio developement for new models.

I am a hobbyist, and dont generally work for pay, though I am always happy to accept an ice cold Dr Pepper from anyone that enjoys working with me.

Mostly family and landscapes so I can send them to friends and family who don't live here. Also, food. If either I or my husband turn out a great dish, we take a pic of it for posterity.
