Try as he may, he could not quite bring himself to believe that Jesus got up after being dead two days, and started walking around like nothing ever happened; and rose into the sky and became a god.

He couldn't make himself believe it. And he never used drugs, so he couldn 't use drugs; he even tried singing church songs, nothing worked.

Ago 3 months, dear kind grandpa has died and gone to Hell.

But -- due to his honesty, respectful and humble nature, his hard work, and his kindness to all, and he never wanted to hurt anyone -- could he at least have his own quarters?

Could he have segregation from murderers, perverts and theives please? Can you church folks check on this for us?

We say please and thank you in advance.

You had a very wise grandfather follow his example. He realized all religion is nonsense.

There's the idea of Baptism By Desire.

Also it says in the Bible "If they are not against us, they are for us".

Rapists and the like are against God. It doesn't sound like your Grandfather was. Therefore, not being against Jesus, in Jesus' own words he's for Jesus.

To go to Hell you have to commit a mortal sin.

More likely he's in what we call Purgatory, where all souls go until Judgement - apparently this place is Hell-like but cleanses the soul.

It also says that at the end of days all the dead will rise, pick a side and fight for good or evil. I'd find it hard your granddad would side with evil.

The Jews don't believe Jesus was the Messiah, yet the bible says they are already saved.

It's unfair for you to say he's gone to Hell. Because you don't know. And not being an evil person, it's highly unlikely.

If the church folks had their way, your grandpa would writhe and scream in Hell forever, along with all unsavory miscreants -- it's fundamental to their hideous religion.

Fortunately neither the Bible god nor Jesus exist, and you can happily remember the good life of your grandpa and what a great man he was.

He was wise not to accept the foolishness of the Jesus legend.

No, your dearly departed grandpa will not spend eternity in the company of murderers, perverts and thieves. The tone of the question seems to indicate that you already expect a particular answer. I am a member of the world's second largest Christian denomination, and I adhere to their official dogmas. And I can make that statement about your grandpa with complete confidence. You can look foward to seeing him in the Resurrection.

Everybody has those seeds of sins within them. In a sense we are all murderers and thieves and wicked people. Some do not exercise the sins more than others but we all deserve our fate which is death and there is only one name under which one can be saved and that is the name he rejected. May the Lord have mercy on him.

Well, the Bible talks about different levels of Hell. The punishment fits the crime if you will. Anyway...the Bible also makes it clear that you can't just "be a good person" and get to Heaven. I'm sure you knew that. It's possible that your Grandfather made a personal commitment to Christ and never told anyone just before his death. Also, God has the final word. I can't speak for Him. God bless.

This question is designed to get idiot answers from church folks -- and they have not disappointed you.

It's pathetic there are people who actually believe that crap.

What else can anyone say?

I think God will make that decision. But, I don't believe you go to hell just because you didn't accept Christ in this life. I think you will have a chance to learn after death, and that is probably what is going on with your grandpa right now. He's learning what he needs to to be able to progress.

Sorry! He's a lost soul. No matter what good he did on Earth, the fact that he couldn't believe in mythology (whoops, excuse me) I mean a particular religion dooms him to eternal suffering along with Hitler, Attila, and all the people who were born before the year 0001.

If he was Catholic, he's got it made. Just mention his sins at confession, get absolution, say three hail Mary's, two our Father's, and he is forgiven for ALL his sins! Oh and a tidy donation wouldn't hurt either.

Well it's a good thing grandpa didnt believe Jesus became a god,.... He didnt.. He always WAS God as it says in the Bible. But as far as where grandpa spends eternity we cannot say with full knowledge either way. God decides and He judges righteously.
