Most people went to that thing to get drunk and watch the bands.I would of too if it was closer to me, but after I seen Melissa Ethridge's 20 minute onstage rant about Bush instead of singing her songs, I would of been gone...

In a way, yes, because the awareness has been there for years, so there was no news there. But there was little mention of any corrective steps taken by any nation. They really should have prepped some of their stars better. All ditzy Cameron Diaz could come up with is about her Prius and everyone should buy light bulbs. Alrighty then , Cameron, now that was deep.
Many also believe there are political undertones running here. Could this be Al Gore posturing before he makes his Presidential bid?? We'll all have to tune in and see.

No.. why would it be? Its just a concert to raise awareness.. just like any other charity cause. They're just trying to send the message to people by having a live concert. Why in the world would that be a waste of time?

NOT AT ALL .... however raising awareness is the first stepp, the second step is really , nearly forcing people to take action . and live earth has not yet accomplished this.

Partly, I think they are using more resources than they are saving. But the cause is good.
