Jehovah's Witnesses refuse to take up arms and kill other humans, which is why German Jehovah's Witnesses were put in concentration camps because they refused to salute Hitler and fight in his army.

Obviously, the Catholics, Protestants, Baptists, Atheists, Muslims etc. all did allow themselves to be used and did kill others in wars.

Are there any other religions that actually follow Bible teachings and refuse to serve in the military?

Christianity is unique in that it has no provision for its adherents to engage in warfare. Those ostensible "Christians" who do so ignore the Scriptures and the teachings and example of Jesus Christ himself.

(Matthew 26:52) Jesus said to him: “Return your sword to its place, for all those who take the sword will perish by the sword

(Isaiah 2:4) They will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore.

(2 Corinthians 10:3-4) We do not wage warfare according to what we are in the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly

(Luke 6:27-29) I [Jesus] say to you who are listening, Continue to love your enemies, to do good to those hating you, to bless those cursing you, to pray for those who are insulting you. To him that strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also

"thou shall not kill" (Exodus 20:13; Deuteronomy 5:17),

Jesus amplifies the meaning of the sixth commandment. He brings out that to commit murder means more then just killing someone, it means having an angry and unforgiving attitude towards them. The apostle John elaborates on this by writing that to hate someone is the same as murdering them (1 John 3:15).

Pacifist who do not go to war: Amish, Anabaptist, Bahai, Brethern, Buddhists, Jainists, Jehovah's Witness, Mennonites, and Quakers.

Non-Pacifist: Agnostics, Atheists, Mormons, Salvation Army, Satanists, Taoists, and Unitarians.

. Hastings’ renowned Encyclopædia of Religion and Ethics noted: "The view was widely prevalent in the early Church that war is an organized iniquity with which the Church and the followers of Christ can have nothing to do."

The German theologian Peter Meinhold explained: "While the New Testament is silent on the question whether Christians may or may not be soldiers and whether they must resign from the army when they become Christians, the old church took a stand in the issue. Being a Christian and a soldier was considered irreconcilable."

Geoffrey F. Nuttall commented: "The early Christian attitude to war was more like that of the people who call themselves Jehovah’s Witnesses than it is comfortable for us to suppose."

"A careful review of all the information available [shows] that, until the time of Marcus Aurelius [121-180 C.E.], no Christian became a soldier; and no soldier, after becoming a Christian, remained in military service."—The Rise of Christianity.

"The behavior of the [early] Christians was very different from that of the Romans. . . . Since Christ had preached peace, they refused to become soldiers."—Our World Through the Ages.

Most importantly, consider the words of Jesus. This was the command he gave his followers in his prophesy of the "Last Days":

(Matthew 24:15-16) 15 "Therefore, when YOU catch sight of the disgusting thing that causes desolation, as spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in a holy place, (let the reader use discernment,) 16 then let those in Ju·de´a begin fleeing to the mountains.

Did he tell them to defend their homes and nation? No, he didn't. Were Christians supposed to give their lives for their country?

(Matthew 22:21) . . ."Pay back, therefore, Caesar’s things to Caesar, but God’s things to God."

In the context of these verses Jesus was talking about the paying of taxes. The government prints money and we receive it from that government so it is "Caesar's" and when we give some of it back to "Caesar" we receive some benefits such as roads and other public service , but did "Caesar give us life? No, that came from God, and we owe it to him. Also if we give our life for God he can return it, but if we give our life for our country we are stealing from God, and our country can not return our life back to us either. In Bible times before Christ came to earth God's servants did fight wars to conquer the promised land and protect their nation, but those wars were ordained by God, and none from the time of Christ onward were. The nation of Israel had to survive until the coming of the Messiah, or Christ, but after that time it did not, as far as God's purpose was concerned.

I know of no other religion which imitates first century followers of Christ.

i'm no longer any faith yet i think that as properly. a lot of human beings have self belief in this entire going to heaven and hell situation. they simply don't comprehend what they're examining via fact the bible makes it sparkling what takes place at death. Christ reported himself that no guy has ascended to heaven yet he who has come down so there's no person up there or in hell.

Hello.. :)

My heart was convicted since day one..I am called a pacifist Christian..

Brothers and sisters in Christ tell me that we have to follow our leaders, yes, we are also to pray for them, but how many brothers and sisters in Christ, will still follow the same leaders, if they say we cannot have our Bibles, or our children have to be taken from us, if we do not stop raising them in the ways of the Lord..What is the difference.. :(

We cannot obey the Law of the Land, if it is in conflict with the word of God..for we can only serve One Master..

Jesus said we are to Love our enemies..do good to and pray for those that despite fully use us..How can we look at someone we are getting ready to shoot and say I Love you and Jesus does too..

There is No where in the New Testament that says it is OK to kill another person..even during war..

I attend an Assemblies of God Church..(Penecostal)..

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)
