Hi there!
The first question is how old are you and how much do you weigh?? And are you athletic? What is your heart rate? (pulse) Do you feel dizzy? If you are thin, young and in shape and not dizzy, it is probably fine.
Your dad has what is called stage 1 hypertension and should control it soon before it damages any organs. Good luck and take care. :)

It seems very low. The bog standard average is 120/80. It's probably the blood pressure monitor. If you're really worried just see a doctor. They'll do a much more accurate test. If you use a home blood pressure monitor, readings should be taken first thing in the morning really, before any activity (even before getting up!)

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

120/80 is average. Your's is low and Dad's is high. Mine was about that high so I started monitoring my sodium (salt) intake every day. I realized that some so called healthy foods have A TON of sodium. Frozen foods, soups and sandwich meat are really high.
In one month mine has dropped from 165/95 to 145/76. I've got a little way to go. Hope I don't have to get on meds!

Your dads blood pressure is slighty high and needs attention. As far as yours, depends on your age. For an adult 90/55 is very low and that person would be passing out and weak and sleeping all the time. But for a child normal.A teen slightly low.

your dads is slightly high and yours is on slightly the low side but it maybe normal for you, my bp is always 65/40 and I'm fine no dizziness nothing my doctor tends to keep an eye on it but apart from that nothing ....only problem with low blood pressure is if you have an operation or procedure with anaesthetic that can make your blood pressure drop or a large blood loss can send it even lower then you have to be given artificial fluids to bring it back up....your weight / age can also be a factor.....in blood pressure ...if you are feeling light headed or prone to fainting consult your doctor ....

Yours is a little on the low side - but if you feel well and don't pass out easily then don't worry about it. However that reading you gave for your dad is a little too high for comfort, if it is regularly this high or more, suggest he sees his GP for a check up.
If you are still worried about yourself have a chat with your GP/GP nurse.
