Why Do Some People Type Everything Capitalized?
Why is it that some people regard proper capitalization as being just superfluous nonsense.
It has been a work of punctuation for many people over the past 2,000 years so surely it has been proved to be accurate and relevant just by its sheer longevity of influence?

The bible is an 800 page National Enquiror. It was written by mortal hands, of events seen through mortal eyes and viewed with mortal biases and opinions. It was printed in human factories and packed by human hands into human-made boxes and driven by a human in a human-made truck to a human-ran bookstore where you, a human, buy it for 29.99 plus tax. Guess who gets the money? A human.
God has no press agent, no publisher, no editor, not even a typewriter. If God had something to say, the azalea bushes in my back yard would be in flames before He ever picked up a word proccessor to pass along the message. God does not speak any languages, ESPECIALLY not any written ones.
If you leave a bible in the wind and the rain, the ink will run, the words will vanish, the bible will cease to have meaning at all. My bible IS the wind and the rain.

How does longevity prove accuracy? For thousands of years people believed the Earth was flat.
Inspired to do what? Torture as for the Spanish Inquisition? Start wars as in the Crusades? Insult dead soldiers and their grieving families and friends as with the Phelps family in the US? Condemn women to unwanted pregnancy by proscribing the use of condoms as the Catholic church does? To fleece poor people out of their money as the TV evangelists do in the US?
However, the main reason that it is mumbo-jumbo is that it is contrary to our experience and knowledge. It is not supported by evidence and the people who support it present nonsense arguments in its favour.
Were such a work presented today in support of a suddenly re-discovered old religion, it would be laughed at.

you have a strange idea of measuring accuracy, just because a book lasted along time doesn't necessarily make it the word of God, there are many older.
There was a time when it was accepted almost universally within Christendom as precisely that, but as our knowledge of the world grew it became obvious that as a description of the natural world it was seriously flawed. However as a book on religious philosophy it still holds its own.
Also you have to remember that the Christen bible was in early times unfixed and differed from place to place, it was through a process of attrition and questioning did the present New Testament take form (very much a hands on enterprise by clerics).
If you want to believe its literal the word of God, then you're entitled to your belief, but it doesn't fit that description for me.

Same reason as some bible believers regard the scriptures of every other religion as "evil" "false" or "mumbo-jumbo"
Oh yeah, and you've committed the logical fallacy of argument by popularity.
Since on a world wide basis, there are more non-Christians than Christians, on the basis of this logical fallacy Christianity would be "mumbo-jumbo"

A lot of Human history has been erased. MUMBO JUMBO was an African Monotheistic God. When breaking the African slave of their languages and religions, His gods were turned into nonsense.

Because some people use it, or twist and turn it to mean what they want. They use it to raise themselves up and put others down. It has been used in torture, child abuse, and war. Also, some people just have other beliefs or none at all.
It is a personal choice. People that should be told about it are the ones willing to listen or asking ?'s. Also, there are many different beliefs attached to the bible. Various religions call themselves Christians.

It may be a work of inspiration but your argument that it must be accurate because its been around a long time is ridiculous. It hasd not been proved to be accurate and I bet even the people who wrote it wouldn't make big claims for accuracy.

The Bible texts use the same technique as modern horoscopes. They contain a lot of vague and overblown talk so that everyone can pick out pieces that might fit for him or her. Some people are impressed by this but others not.

The Bible was written by a bunch of human beings and is not the word of god. That's fine if some people find it comforting and inspirational, but it was written by people and is open to interpretation.
