They themselves are not perfect?

I think this is a GREAT question, but unfortunately, I believe the reason so many NB (non-believers) seek perfection in Christians is because of "Christians" who in the past have "preached" that we are perfect. Christians in the past who have judged others and felt as if they could say anything they wanted in the name of Jesus. Self righteous Christians are so damaging to the Body of Christ. I am appalled to see as I grow in the Lord how many hypocrites I sit next to in the pews at church......

I guess because we as Christians say that we need to live up to a higher standard to please God. What most people do not realize Christian and non alike, is that God understands that we are not perfection, that even Christians will sin and do things that God does not like. The only only perfect Christian was Christ. What is so great about Christianity is that God does not expect us to be perfect. People who expect Christians to be perfect need to have a one on one with God, and learn that perfection does not get you into heaven. Only Faith and the acceptence that you are not perfect will make Jesus open the gates of heaven for you.

Good question. I think some people are just always looking for faults, instead of looking for the good. Or maybe their just
jealous. They don't realize that, we as Christians, are not perfect, and we never will be, until we are with the Lord.

God Bless You All.

Christians, are those who have realised and acknowledged that they fall short of God's standard, and that there is nothing they can DO to get right with God. A Christian is a sinner, saved by grace, not of works lest any man should boast, the Bible says.

Because these people do not understand what Christian means. Jesus did not save our body, He saved our soul. They do no understand that we have not yet reached Heaven, and being in these earthly bodies, we still have our earthly desires, however we have the power to over come them through the Holy Spirit. And we are still human. And then you have those who just want to find an reason not to except Jesus and satan is right there to give it to them.

I know I'm not perfect and others are not perfect. However, I wish we could know more knowledge and we will, if we studied The Word of God and Jesus. One thing I know is that no one among us is as perfect as Jesus
