"God did it" only means "I do not know, but I cannot bear to admit it, so I concoct any pretense of an answer, regardless of how senseless it is." Origins present problems for any system. If someone says his deity has always existed, one can just as well say the Universe has always existed. It is difficult enough to explain the Universe, let alone some being that is so much more complex that he could create it. That just complicates the matter, rather than simplifying it, if one is logical. Illogical people do not comprehend such things, of course.

Then what created god? And don't give me this "he just always existed" crap. Many seem to believe because of the things that can not be explained in this world that they are irreducibly complex and must have had a creator. if so then the creator must also be irreducibly complex, no? Why is it that people will believe the Universe could not have started it self but God can? We have proof of a universe, there is zero proof of god.

The world was created by the Magratheans on orders from some pan-dimensional beings trying to work out the meaning of life, the universe and everything.

First cause questions can't be answered with or without god. You always get two results:
1) Something always was, god or just the universe.
2) An infinite regression ( e.g.: this was caused by this, by this, by this, etc.)
Same with the 'why' question. Why does god exist? Why is there simply NOTHING at all.

if we can agree that the world was created then the only sensible conclusion is whatever created the universe whether big bang or not...that force is god...the architect of the universe..things exist in this world because something created them its only common sense...god isnt a white man sitting in a chair with long flowing hair..and i was raised roman catholic.....its a force its the thing that propels our planets our energies...we just humans....not even a particle of dust in this universe..how arrogant to think we know all

The only problem with that theory is that we haven't found human fossils dating back far enough to lead to that conclusion. So either God created the universe along with humans or evolution took place.

Nobody will ever know. There is a scientific theory that an explosion happened in space (somehow), and earth was formed from the debris of the explosion. I like to think that god made the earth though ;)
