First, throw out your makeup and start fresh with new products once your infection is completely gone! Don't wear makeup with an active infection. Go back to your doctor so she can try a new course of treatment.

DO NOT SHARE MAKEUP WITH ANYONE!!!

Perhaps the cause of the conjunctivitis isn't bacterial. There are other forms of conjuctivitis besides this. And it's possible that this isn't conjunctivitis. If your doctor won't run a culture to determine the causative agent then see an ophthalmalologist. An optometrist is for vision.

I also agree in part with "KW". Discard all eye makeup and replace it every 3 months. Bacteria builds up in it. Avoid eye makeup for now.

Pink eye is a very bad disease. If not seriously taen care of you can go blind. You must clean your hands with soap and water and put the eye drops in your eyes atlease 4 times a day. Do not touch your eyes once you put the drops in. Also you may want to clean your bed sheets once a week and clean all areas that you touched with clorox whipes so that you do not re-infect your eyes.

Have you already thrown out any cosmetics you would have used around that area? I'd call your doctor back and tell her that it just isn't clearing up. Make sure you wash all of your sheets, pillowcases, etc...
