Last night I uploaded some pictures from my digital camera to my computer. It uploaded a few and stopped working. The battery was dead so I put some new ones it(rechargeable i dont think they was all the way charged up) and it said only one usb connection allowed. What does that mean? The only thing else I had in where the plug goes was my scanner cord. Please answer!

Reboot the computer. Unplug the scanner temporarily. Take the batteries out of the camera, then put them back in (they should be charged or fresh), plug the USB cable from the camera into the computer. NOW TURN THE CAMERA ON. See the little green thing on the taskbar? A folder should open with your pictures. Most likely they are still intact on the memory card in the camera.

If all fails, take the memory card out of the camera and put it in a memory card reader (Sandisk makes a good one, or Dazzle). The pictures should be fine.

I like to transfer the pictures with a card reader to my computer since there is no risk of low battery in the camera messing things up.

Try resetting the computer. Digital cameras usually have a button on them or a menu option that allows you to reset the camera back to the factory defaults, that may clear whatever's causing the problem.

It is better to go for repair house to check the camera.
