what could the muslims of the world do to help their brothers and sisters in Iraq?

They attend prayers six times a day and must have solutions to end the violence there.Why not share ideas with others?Is it not in their religion to help the needy ? And who can be more needy than the Iraqis?

Wait a second. Just for every ones information the reason there is so much killing in Iraq now is not because of the Americans per se but because the Sunnis can't stand that the Shias were put in power. This has nothing to do with God or America anymore, this is between the Sunni and Shiia Muslims. When the Sunnis realise the Shias are NOT bad people and worship the SAME God they do THEN we can see a peaceful resolution. But for now, all we can do is pray that these misguided souls find their way sooner than later.
Listen. American CAN NOT and WILL NOT bring peace to Iraq, EVER. It will never happen. Like I have already stated this has nothing to do with them now, the Americans are fighting a war that one doesn't involve them and Two is just making things worse for there selves and country.
This is between the Shiias and Sunnis. Nothing more nothing less. This war has been going on since the day Prophet Muhammad died, the only Way it will stop is for MUSLIMS to recognise that we are ALL MUSLIMS, NOT SUNNI or SHIA. Just MUSLIMS! and then we will have peace....

The best thing the Muslims of the world can do is find a way to rmove the cancer of extremist jihadism from their midst. When the bombings and massacres stop, Iraq may have a chance to fully rejoin the community of nations - with all the economic and quality of life benefits that brings. Moreover, if a stable Iraq is achieved by the internal action of the Muslim community, it will elevate the image and influence of Islam in general. As a bonus, once the killing stops the foreign troops should leave.

Pray is the most important. What is going on is a war between Wahhabi's and Iranian extremist Shias.
If only they had enough intelligence that if two Muslims fight the both go to hell.
Lastly Muslims need to realise when they act was this what the Holy Prophet [saw] would do. I can't see any Muslim living a Muslim way of life these days. Hi there,interesting question.I'm a practicing muslim and have read into and been offended by some of the remarks made by others about muslims.yet when i consider what those families must be going through,the ones who are the real victims,i see my hurt as nothing.I firmly believe that the u.s. and the u.k. should take back their troops and allow the country to resolve their country issues themselves.have the u.k. or the u.s. made anything better?NO.can we as outsiders make much of a difference,i doubt it.I keep in my prayers all those families who have suffered at the hands of war and terror,be it with the loss of life of 9/11, 7/7 or the many more occurring in afghanistan and iraq.we should,unite-as humans-and end this hatred.it doesn't take tanks or shells to end it,it takes peace and listening.regards.

OK unpopular answer --- pray 5 times a day, but while they are at it pray that the US UK etc forces succeed in bringing a lasting and just peace to Iraq. The rights and wrongs are not really worth arguing about for now because we are were we are and no pontificating will alter it. . If the forces leave Iraq there wil be a bloodbath. Do our Muslim friends really want that?

At most Mosques, donations are collected to aid these people. These donations DO NOT go towards funding terrorist activities or anything of the sort, as the Media has most likely made the west believe. After all, terrorism is AGAINST Islam, and its too bad the Media will never let this be known. Muslims DO denounce terrorism and violence, but the Media would never report such a thing to give the impression that Muslims favor terrorism and violence, when the truth is actually the total opposite! You can't always believe what you hear on TV or read in the newspaper, especially with today's bias media.

The Iraqis are not needy. If insurgants(muslims) wouldn't keep blowing up cars or themselves then maybe, JUST MAYBE, the Americans can declare the place safe, and we can have our troops back. The fastest way to help them, is to help us by stop trying to kill us.
