Jesus was made as a man and he was made lower because he took on all the sin of everyone one earth. He wasn't automatically like that just because he is human.

to uncover any misunderstandings i am not talking about them as their beings but as of who would be favored.

Angels are a class of spiritual beings a little higher than the order of men (Ps. 8:5, Heb. 2:6-7). Hebrews 2:9 indicates that angels are higher than humans because it says that when Jesus became a man, He "was made a little lower than the angels." This does not suggest they are more valuable than people however as we read in I Corintians 6:2-3:

2Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? 3Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!

By nature, angels are a higher order of being. However, by grace mankind will be, at least in some respect, higher than the angels.

Yes, angels are higher than humans...

Psalm 8:4,5
"What is man that You are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor."

Read the rest of Psalm 8 for more insight. There are other verses, also... but I have to go and finish some commitments I've made. If you have a concordance, do a word study on "angels," and see what you can dig up. Meanwhile, if question is still open, I will try and find those other scriptures and get back to you later on in day.

I think Psalm 8:4,5 is very clear though, on the whole issue.

**EDIT**
God shows no favoritism. So, you will have to be clearer on what you are asking... what is the argument?

If you have the time you should read all of Hebrews Chapter 1. But at the very end in verse 14 it concludes "Are they (angels) not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation". Angels are God's messengers, they are not his sons and daughters. In Revelation (sorry, I can't think of the verse) it says that in the new Jerusalem (heaven), angels will serve us and we will judge angels. When people point out Psalm Chapter 8, all David is doing is pointing out how Man is so sinful, which is definately true. But just because angels(not devils) don't sin, doesn't make them more important than humans. Feel free to message me if you have more questions

5It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. 6But there is a place where someone has testified:
"What is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?
7You made him a little[a] lower than the angels;
you crowned him with glory and honor
8 and put everything under his feet." [b]
In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him. 9But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone
Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions.

Angels are allowed into heaven naturally, and humans are only allowed into heaven after earning it under very strict guidelines.

Angels are given the ability to come and go between heaven and earth at will (at least the Arch Angels), while trips to heaven for humans are only one way and permanent.

Angels are assigned as guardians for humans, but humans are not assigned as gaurdians for angels. This would imply that angels are regarded as superior to humans in judgement and knowledge.

Since Angels clearly have everything humans have, but humans are denied gifts that angels have, angels are regarded more highly than humans.

Read "Childhood's End," by Arthur C Clarke, and compare the role of Karellen toward humanity, with that of angels. It should give you a **very** good perspective on that. NO kidding! Clarke was and is an insightful genius. And he figured that out over 50 years ago!

Every time I think of angels, I think of that role that they play, and their place in God's scheme of things.

At Psalm 8:4,5,we read: What is mortal man that you keep him in mind,And the son of earthling man that you take care of him? You also proceeded to make him a little less than godlike ones . . ."

The Hebrew word rendered "godlike ones" is the same word used for angels. (me elohim: angels, messengers.)

Angels are higher than humans.

listen there would be no "biblical" scripture to tell you about because the bible was written by man (i.e. mark Luke john) not god or Jesus. so how would man know who like who more. another thing is why does it matter??? if you believe that god loves you that should be enough are you really that vain that you need to be better than angels to make yourself feel better. if that is the case it is called counseling and therapy.

Yes, especially when they're flying...= )

Seriously though, since angels are meant to do God's bidding, I would say yes...

They minister to us!

But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? - Hebrews 1:13,14.
