You could choose to write as many names as you wanted, and it would be nearly impossible to connect the killings to you. You can also decide how the person will die. Would you use it? Whom would you kill and why?

Death Note. Lovely.

I can't say for sure that I wouldn't, but I doubt I would. Light used it to kill off criminals, but who is to say that those criminals were ALL guilty? The fact that the crime rate plunged was due to fear, not genuine understanding of what is wrong.

There ARE other uses... like killing off the fundamentalist Christians who are always telling us we're going to Hell and are so opposed to our advancements. Just kidding. I have faith that they will die out in time of their own accord, and why kill off someone who MIGHT change in the future? They may do more harm to our world than good, but I'm sure they'll get their proper "reward" in the afterlife by their own beliefs...

I might use it to kill people like Hitler, though. As much as his life is as valuable as that of anyone else, he only wished to kill more, and there certainly wasn't going to be a change.

If you're selling a magic pen that can do this, you've got a customer!

I don't want to inflict pain on anyone, but there are a great number of people that the world would be much better off without. I'd prefer to simply expunge them from history rather than kill them, though.

It's rarely the fault of the monsters themselves that they are as they are. Most of them believe that what they're doing is right - whatever you think about the 9/11 hijackers, it can't be said that they lacked the courage of their convictions. They just happened to be wrong.

I'd like to take a year or so to finish editing the world - making sure I got just the right people, and as few as possible. At this point in history, I'm afraid a rather large number of religious leaders will have to be Vanished, for instance. Then their are a number of senior political and business figures we could do without - the Van Hoogstratens and similar psychopaths.

I reckon I'd need that pen of yours for about 18 months. You'll have to collect it, because the last name will be mine.

NO, a major rule of Magick(which is what this would be) is to do no harm. This would definitely be a violation of this rule.
In truth I can't think of someone who's life I would like to be responsible for ending. I think if someone is bad enough eg..paedophiles I think death is the easy way out. It's more mercy than they have shown their victims even if they killed them in the end.

You are nutzola as the dude i seen in the movie "In the line of fire" this question has to be the most psycho cased i`ve ever heard on answers. I`m tempted to call the police and tell them about you because you may be logged as a possible homicidal killer someday and need to be logged for their files in case you murder your husband or someone someday.

Oh that would be a scary thing for me... one of the reasons I will never own a gun is because of the fleeting bouts of bone-crushing depression I go through.

I have to say that, while I would NEVER write another person's name down... man, o man, what would stop me from writing my own name down?

Whew.. that would be like me owning a gun.

To answer your question, my name.

No, I think if I hated someone enough to kill them, they would have had to have done something sooooo heinous that they will be getting theirs anyway. Besides, Karma is a wonderful thing, everything you put out comes back to you 3 times, why would I want to wish anything bad on anyone, I wouldn't want it to happen to me. No matter how bad I dislike someone, I can't possibly hate someone that loves them enough to wish them the pain of their loss. The Universe hands out judgement, not me.

Heh, you've been reading Deathnote, eh?

Well, I would probably use it only in dire situations (loss of life, injuries) to prevent hurt.

That'd mean that I probably wouldn't use it in my lifetime. Maybe once.
