Yes.
As a matter of fact, I encourage everyone to carefully scrutinize the doctrines of religion, it's books, and it's followers.

Life is fair game for scrutiny, criticism, and even ridicule even if not warranted just like any other race or religion!

It is obviously fair game -- this has been demonstrated.

But when the criticism and ridicule go beyond the faith construct itself and are directed at the individuals who subscribe to the belief, that is neither fair game nor fair play.

I disagree that religion is (or at least always is) a human construct.
Scrutiny? Yes, even the bible tells us to test the spirits. Nowhere does the bible approve of "blind faith".
Criticism? When warranted.
Ridicule? This is a bit harder to justify, since it rarely produces positive results.

Yes it is. Religion is in some way an idea or ideology if you will. Since ideology is thought up by man and man is inherently flawed the idea or ideology is also flawed. Therefore it is fair game to be scrutinized.

I don't know if ridicule is "warranted" but careful scrutiny most definitely.

Agree, not only is it fair game, it should be scrutinized. They claim to hold themselves to such a high standard but that is rarely the case.

Yes, but unfortunately some people want to stop freedom of speech and not just about religion. Apparently we are not allowed to have opinions any more.

God Bless.

Yes, religion is open to scrutiny, but like everything else regarding peoples feelings, it should be treated with respect, something that is often lacking in this section.
