I know it sounds wierd, but I'm allergic to the cold. In the winter I get hives if I don't stay warm (especially when I go skiing) and even in the SUMMER if I go swimming in lake water I start hiving and I've had hypothermia twice (both times in the summer from cold lake water) and have been sent to the emergencey room once. I have gone to my doctor and I am allergic to cold, so I got an Epi Pen.

My question is: Is there any type of "body glove" that keeps you warm in the water? I don't want a heavy suit like what divers wear or just a coverup, but just something that will keep me warm when I go in the water. Thank you in advance!

When you went to the doctor, did he suggest anything you can do (other than staying indoors for 3 months in the winter)? There are shirts called "Under Armor" that you can get. I see them mostly in the men's department. They are like a nylon type of shirt that clings to you and holds in your body heat. My husband wears them because he is outdoors alot in the winter. He swears by them. Other than that, you might want to only go to pools where the water is heated to a specific degree or avoid water altogether. Just out of curiosity...can you DRINK cold water??

No, not really. A scuba suit would be the only thing available, but even then, you'd probably still be cold. If you want to swim, go swimming in a heated pool.

your only option would be the scuba suit, anything else would have your skin exposed which would make you cold.
