God isn't lazy, he knows when and when not to answer your prayers. It will not always be right away. Don't pray to the ceiling, it is just a ceiling. You shouldn't stop believing in God just because you didn't get what you wanted right away. He has a plan for your life and knows how to put it in action.

First, you know you aren't the first person to feel this way, right? I think we all question sometimes. Maybe what you are praying for is the issue... you didn't specify what it was.
If you are depressed, my heart goes out to you, I've been there, as have many others. At some point, I resigned myself to little pleasures. If you are at the end of your rope, then things don't "matter" like they once did, or like you wish they did, right? So live for the little surprises life has to offer and believe the sun will rise again, and you won't feel this way.
I've been very near "zero" myself, but realizing I had a loving Father (God) helped me. When I felt the worst, turning my back on God wouldn't have made sense to me.
I know it's so hard to understand sometimes, and none of us has a pre-packaged answer for you. For me, I think it was about letting go of control to some extent and accepting what He offered me and not trying to control or demand from the world.
I hope you feel better soon. There is happiness in the world for you, try to be patient.

First, stop praying to a ceiling/god as God lives within and without you, not the ceiling. God is our very best friend, talk to him like that. We all have times when we are hurting, and tired of it. But instead of asking God to make it better I need to ask God to show ME how to make it better. Many times painful circumstances arise and knock us down, and out. But when I am able to come out of it, I have usually learned something important, even though it wasn't that long ago I wanted to die due to it. I've been told by doctors 3 times that they could do no more for me and did not expect me to make it until morning. (I'm not talking about what you said not to comment on, I am telling you MY story) Yet here I am. God was not done with me. I went through hell, enduring incest as a tiny child, enduring abuse until just recently when I kicked everyone out of my life that was hurting me. Now I am all alone. I hate it, and it's been this way now for several years. I still throw temper tantrums worthy of a 2 year old when life hurts. But I promised those who love me that I would not intentionally hurt myself again, (pisses me right off sometimes!), and I try to learn the lesson the situation has to teach me. The lesson usually makes the circumstances better, or just makes them go away.
I truly hope this helps. I do know how it feels to hurt that bad and feel I'm not being heard or taken care of. But it will pass.
You mentioned anti-depressants. They are not just for a big long time, but also help for situational depression.
Let me know how you are will you?
Blessed Be & and may you have Peace

Life is about adapting. Prayer was a part of adapting for you. Medication given by your doctor is also helping you adapt. These were ideas that came to you. Get yourself some more ideas to see you through. Follow your instincts to what you need to do to get through just one day at a time. Get up and find something that you can do to open doors for you, mentally, physically, emotionally or spiritually. Visit a bookstore and pick out a random book. Find a bike track and take a walk along it. Hire a DVD or video from your favorite section. Visit a Church or Cathedral or Place of Worship. You don't have to see the whole staircase to take the first step. Do something to get into life again and I promise you that you will thank God you did.

Jesus said he is the light, and the only way forward. "no-one get's to the father, except through me". When you pray, you MUST pray "through" jesus. Here's an example:
Deal Jehovah [that's gods NAME you know, god is a title, like my name is marcus, but my title is boy. I prefer you call me Marcus, not boy], I would like to thank you for everything you have done for me. I know that this world is a cruel one, and you will wipe it out soon. Please just give me the strength to feel happy, even if just for a minute today. Thank you for everything you do for me. I ask this prayer through your son, Jesus, Amen.
That ending is the important bit. There is one use of a prayer through Jesus in the bible, but I can't remember where. It's in the New Testament though, somewhere after Jesus gave his life. You should look for it. You'll find it if you try.
And always remember, just cause your religion doesn't teach it, doesn't mean it's not in the bible.

I'm sorry that you are going through a rough period right now. And there are times when it seems like God isn't answering our prayers. But He doesn't always answer them the way we want Him to. Sometimes it's a yes, sometimes it's a wait, and sometimes it's a no, but something better will be coming.
But don't give up... keep talking to Him. Let Him know you are angry and sad and hurt... He has really big shoulders and He can take it. And I can tell by what you are saying that you haven't really quit believing or you wouldn't be asking for help to make Him listen to you. He is listening, He is with you and He will never give up on you....
In the mean time... do you have a counselor, therapist, or anyone who you can talk to? Sounds like you need some real support right now and perhaps some stronger meds along with it. Perhaps that will be the answer to your prayers.
I wish I could give you a magical answer and make it all go away, but I can't.
In the meantime I wish you peace and love, and I will keep you in my prayers.....

My youth you need to first up stop thinking of GOD as a Ceiling/god.
If you are praying to the ceiling you wont get an answer after all its just manmade.
GOD does not bless sin but when you acknowledge GOD and accept him He will answer you.Remember that GOD make the sun to shine on the just and the unjust. So he is gonna bless you you just need to start BELIEVING.
Stop praying to GOD as if HE is a ceiling but a spiritual entity.GOD is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Don't comment About your suicidal state of mind? You have to be crazy! If I did not then I would be condoning your thoughts.
My youth you need to get out and prioritize your life. How can your death benefit anyone?Well the undertaker and the funeral home will get some more money.
Son,brother life is too good to want to end it.Start thinking bout the positive and take out the negative. And if you kill yourself im gonna come to your funeral and stamp on your grave.
My youth GOD is faithful and he will prove himself to you.You just need to be faithful and prove yourself to him.

Ok Alex, did it ever dawn on you that maybe your statement that you stopped praying and believing in God could be a reason your prayers have NOT been answered? Maybe it could be that your prayers are a bit mixed up or selfish? God does answer prayers for those who WAIT on Him to answer, who do NOT stop praying or believing in Him or HIs will for our lives!
For you to even go to the point to ask how to commit suicide quickly and painlessly if it comes to that tells me you have given in to the worst enemy you could ever have, satan! You need to your pastor or youth leader and talk to them to help you with whatever is really bothering you!
We all have good and bad days, we are humans, we all make choices some with good consequences and a lot with bad consequences! Right now my friend you are on the bad side of things and you need to get them on the right, or good side!
God allows us to all go through trials, no matter our ages, sex, religious background, but He always allows us to make our own choices as well! PLEASE make the right one!! Go to your Pastor or Youth leader and let them help you find what you are seeking! If you do NOT have a Church, Please email me and I will put you in touch with my Pastor! He can help you if you have no one else I'm sure!
I will be praying for you and that you find the help you are so desperately seeking! God Bless you and keep you!

Please don't commit suicide! It's not the solution!
God answers prayers that are directed to him, and asked in Jesus' name. Your prayers must be sincere and you must believe that he is not only real, but that he really cares about you and will help you.
Also remember, God may not answer your prayer the way YOU want it answered! If you expect certain things to happen a certain way, they may not because maybe that's not the real answer. Also God does not grant instantaneous requests. He WILL help you but remember to be open to help that may come from an unexpected source. He often uses people to help others.
I don't know what exactly you're asking God, but remember He WILL help you if you really want Him to. ;)
PS ~ Praying for strength and endurance is sometimes more effective than praying for a problem to go away.

God answers prayers when he feels it is the right time for you & I know you're probably saying "Hello, now seems a good a time as any!" I think you need to be in therapy in addition to the pills. There is no shame in that. My email address is open to the public....
