Poached or scrambled eggs, any style you like. Also anything mashed, potatoes, sweet potates, carrot etc. Make sure you don't eat anything too hot or too cold. If you have swelling going on make sure you put an ice pack on it for 5-10 mins. This will help the swelling go down. Try not to get food in that area as it could case an infection in that empty tooth, ouch, this hurts alot and needs to be seen by dentist immediatly. Just make sure that you eat soft food. I don't think it necessarily needs to be bland as long as you are good about rinsing with some warm salt water after you are done eating you should be just fine.

When I had my wisdom teeth out...
I had smoothies... 1 cup of milk and 1 banana... blend them and drink up... only one glass of it would fill you up...

My mom also made barley soup with chicken... n poured it in the blender... so I wouldn't have to chew anything...

I also drank apple juice... carrot juice... orange juice...

mmm... let me see what else...

Also some Persian dishes that are like soup but a bit heartier... they're called Aash... lots of veggies and either chicken or meat broth... plus beans and stuff... again my mom blended it first so I wouldn't have to chew anything...

Here is a recipe for barley soup

Here is also a recipe for Adasi (lentil soup):
1 cup lentil
1/3 cup kidney beans
1 large potato
1 medium onion
1 whole garlic
1 stick butter
and fill half ur pot with water...

Dice the potato, onion, and garlic... pour everything into the pot... except half of the butter...
Don't forget salt and pepper to ur taste...
Once it comes to a boil... put the lid on... and reduce the heat to low-medium heat...
And leave it be... for 3 hours or so...
Then after its done... n u like the taste... use ur potato masher to mash everything... or pour it into a blender... then add the other half of the butter... stir it... and serve :)

I hope you get better...

I know that some people eat a lot of pudding, jello, yogurt, maybe a little ice cream, apple sauce. things like that. I have also seen people eat baby food since it's just our food pureed and they can get protein when they can't eat anything solid!

Pudding, yogurt, soft ice cream with no added nuts or chips, cottage cheese, soft fruits, jello, oatmeal and grits if you're careful.
