You know, I'd love to say that no, I wouldn't refuse God anything. I almost did in fact. But Then I got to thinking about Abraham. I don't think I could have even acted like I was going to consider what he actually started to do. So, to be honest, I just don't know. I don't want to disobey my God. And the things He has set for us in the Bible are the things that I try to live by. *I also won't lie and say that I do the right thing everytime* But there could possibly be something He asks of me that I may be too weak to give. I don't know. That'd be a bridge I'd have to cross when I get to it. I'm not as special as Abraham though, so I doubt God is gonna test me quite like He did them. I don't know.
This is a good question by the way.

The first question is, How exactly does "God" command anything? The Bible? That already involves the assumption that the Bible is a "received" text. Divine revelation? That involves the assumption that when one hears voices and sees visions, there is a "supernatural" rather than a physiological or psychological explanation, and even taking that as a given, that these voices and visions proceed from "God" and not a "demon."

Al Qaida believes it is acting out God's will! It's more than a little bit dangerous when people start thinking this way.

I fall short a lot. I am happy for His grace and mercy. Luckily He loves me even though I have refused to do a lot of things.

They already ignore many things just because they're inconvenient. Women wearing men's clothes, cot coveting or being greedy, the ocassional disprespect of ma & pa, not praying in public, etc etc etc. Hypocrites.

As a Christian Preacher, writer and Evangelist I would like to think that I would follow God's command to the letter.
But the truth of the matter is the cock may very well crow three times.
I think it is a crying shame that our society has become so perverted and sick that Yahoo can't recognize the name of a male rooster and feels the necessity to insert blanks.
