why do catholics try to pretend their pope is not a nazi? he was a member of the nazi party in his youth. he talks about "purifying" non-catholics, like the nazis talked about purifying germany. he is ordering an anti-jewish mass to be said in his churches. will they wait until he starts putting swastikas on steeples before they admit ratzi is a nazi?

from the responses, it seems many catholics are fervent nazis. guess they're happy to have one as their leader.

Ratzinger was, and is, a NAZI. The Catholics try to pretend that he wasn't/isn/'t but they can't alter plain fact. Their deeply ingrained and barely suppressed hatred of women and all other minorities is surfacing. I'm NOT a Catholic and never could belong to so repressive and oppressive an organization.

Could you backup all these statements with evidence? They're a bit sketchy.
Also, being part of the Nazi party as a boy really doesn't say much other than the fact that you lived in Nazi Germany as a boy. It's not like he was a SS officer. My grandpa was a member of the Nazi party in his youth. Most boys in Germany were. And believe me, he's no Nazi.

No purpose student can heavily deny that Pius XII became a minimum of sympathetic to the ideals of the Nazi's and different Catholic mass murderers which includes Mussolini and Franco, at worst, had an lively hand of their collaboration. One particular historic journey, which won't be able to be denied even by ability of the main persuasive of Catholic apologists is the form in 1943 of the clearing of the Jewish ghetto of over a million,000 souls next to Vatican city. So tender have been the Germans to the form of direct "cleansing" genuine around the corner to the abode of Pope Pius, that the German ambassador is recorded as pleading on behalf of Adolf Hitler for the Pope to make some sort of damaging remark- proving he became against the deportation. this is recorded because of the fact the main staggering diplomatic gesture of international conflict II- a unfastened hit, wherein the Pope could have suggested something he wanted with comprehensive diplomatic understanding that Hitler himself had accepted a reaction. truly, the pontiff suggested no longer something and all yet a dozen have been murdered. To this very day 2007, the Vatican refuses to remark in this crime against humanity interior the shadow of St Peter.s To right this moment, no pontiff has ever apologised to the less than 15 survivors, nor even shown the human decency to fulfill them. The inventory time-honored answer tosuch irrefutable evidence is to disclaim- deny it ever handed off, if pushed to assert it became purely some dozen persons, if pushed difficult use different much less credible components to counter the info, if finally pushed into the corner- attack the answerer and seek for to have it bumped off.

As a teenager and young man, Pope Benedict XVI was drafted into the Hitler Youth and the Nazi German Army just like every other non-Jewish German male. He was not given a choice.
The Pope is not and never has been a Nazi. He unfortunately was born and grew up in a country ruled by the Nazi party.
Every draftee into the Hitler Youth and the Nazi German Army was not a Nazi.
Thank God that you and I live in a very different world that the Pope did in 1930s and 1940s Germany. Or do we?
With love in Christ.

The pope was never a member of the NSDAP, the nazi party.
He was, however, a member of the Hitler youth, which was not a party organization, and pupils were usually coerced into joining.
He also joined the military as a draftee.

Many were supporting those they considered their countrymen at the time. Unfortunately, we are not always wise enough or educated to the extent we can see the big picture until much later. I think that is what may have happened in his case. No one really knows but him. I am not Catholic or religious in any way.

No. The Pope is not a Nazi. As a Pope he is a Prophet among the lukewarm members of Christianity. Similarly, Moses the giver of the law is the Prophet among the loveless Christians as they put themselves under the law as a sense of duty and not their hearts as a sense of love; and this is also true to Mohammad as a Prophet of the Islam under the law and not their hearts. The Prophet Joseph Smith is the Prophet to the not courageous saints today (literal) because instead of looking for their martyrdom to shed their blood for the growth of new christian churches all their members are cowering in fear in the safety of the cities. the Born again leaders are the Prophets to the backsliders as what they say they do not do as spokesmen for the words of GOD. Also Martin Lulther is also a Prophet to the corrupt members of Christianity as they have the power and the money and resources which corrupt them in return. Ron Hubbard is a Prophet to the dead members of Christianity because they use their own wisdom for salvation though unaware that their wisdom comes from THE LORD GOD. The leaders of the miracle crusaders are Prophets of the love of GOD and the POPES of the Catholic church/ Orthodox/ Ecumenical churches are the Prophets to the lukewarm members of the Christian body. Because catholics are like brute beasts controlled by him and his church; they believe the pope represents the LORD Jesus Christ on earth, and from what you have noted how much more unbelievably offensive does this make this?

You are an ignorant fool.
But don't worry, the power of God's grace can fix you up too.
May God grant you all the desires of your heart.
